  1. Ref: Piranha chains rebranded as Rotatech Chains. Has anything changed about the quality?.... the Piranha chains I had were rubbish. Other reviews on this thread: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/news/93276-piranha-chainsaw-chain-press-release.html cheers, steve
  2. errr, sorry, I wasn't joking. cheers, steve
  3. Haha! I've met and chatted with Oliver Letwin a few times. cheers, steve
  4. With hindsight I think those that said Corbyn would be gone within 6 months might have been a tincy, wincy, tiny bit wrong. As for splitting the Labour Party.... it was split years ago when a bunch of Tories hijacked it. Good to see the Labour 'reset' button has been activated & given time it will prove to be a very positive opposition, I reckon. Cheers, steve
  5. That looks ace. I particularly like the one with the twisted line that runs along the top.... is that done with willow stems?.... I guess it isn't planted. cheers, steve
  6. SteveA

    550xp

No problems with mine at all. cheers, steve
  7. I ended up buying an Etesia Pro46 PBTS mower, a used one. Not a ride-on.... just a self propelled/ single speed walk behind. None of that hydrostatic nonsense! I've been very impressed with how well it's coped with our long, really long, soaking wet grass. cheers, steve
  8. There's a bunch of woody sculptures at Scolton Manor inc a 'sword in the, um... wood!' You probably already know that. I think they look much better in real life than in these photos, but gives an idea of vibe, ish: Visitor Centre & Sculpture Trail - Culture 4 Pembrokeshire cheers, steve
  9. Lol! That's hilarious! cheers, steve
  10. oh dear! I think Ian has done a swastika! cheers, steve
  11. That's great & helpful, thanks. cheers, steve
  12. Could well be that, he was pretty vague about it. I got the impression he was talking about dunking them in a pond for a while; in murky cow poo water (kind of thing). Thanks for the link.... gonna read it proper. cheers, steve
  13. I've not milled any oak myself, yet. Have had a couple of friends mention how naughty oak can be whilst drying out.... twisting, shrinking, cracking, splitting, etc. Was on a job a couple days ago and chatted with a farmer who mentioned some people keep milled oak dunked underwater for a while to help prevent those seasoning problems occurring. I've not heard of this before. Interesting idea - has anyone here tried it? cheers, steve
  14. Honey fungus.... Original Bramley apple tree in Southwell is dying - BBC News cheers, steve
  15. ah, thanks. That makes more sense why some are so cheap on eBay..... I've not bought one to repair and happy to ditch that idea! cheers, steve
  16. Great thanks. That's not as bad £'s as I thought it might be. Is the hydrostatic unit supplied with the gearbox? cheers, steve
  17. Are used Honda HRX mowers with drive faults DIY repairable on a budget?.... confident I have the skills to do the repairs myself but I'm wondering about the cost of replacement parts.... cheers, steve
  18. How many cc's is that one?.... if you get one, do let us know what it's like after a bit of use. cheers, steve
  19. I've got the Portek head fitted to our Florabest and the vibrations seem to be okay, normal.... at least it is normal when compared to the standard bump feed head. cheers, Steve
  20. I glanced over the Etesia website earlier today, yeah they are a fair amount of wedge, but bet they are ace. cheers, steve
  21. I'm not looking to buy one.... gonna nick one mate! cheers, steve Haha! That looks awwwwesome. Problem solved. cheers, steve
  22. We have nearly 2 acres of raised beds so may as well get something to sit on and chill out to some Led Zep, Pearl Jam, Pictures of Matchstick Men and *Gloria Estafan. *just joking cheers, steve p.s.... and would also be useful to have something for towing pot plants, flowers, potting soil etc.... with a wee small trailer.
  23. Darn, this ain't as easy as I first thought it would be. Not sure what to do now. cheers, steve
  24. Thankyou I need to get a tape measure and measure the average width of our paths... most are quite narrow so I reckon it'll need to be a maximum 24" / 60cm cutting width. Although it would also be useful to have something strong enough to tow a small trailer behind. Ideally we would like to to mulch directly onto the paths, definitely not side discharge onto the flower beds. The MTD lawnflite mini rider (60cm deck) looks about right but I guess not suitable for towing and from the photos looks like it discharges grass to the side. hmmm cheers, steve
  25. They look a very nice shade of red. Does it have a tow hook at the back? Also, is it possible to have the mulching discharge to come out the back instead of the side? cheers, steve
