  1. Cycled 32 km. walked up to worcester beacon and reckon i will sneak some boxing in later
  2. Cool. If you wanted a really good one total warrior is good. Its literally just off the m6 at shap in cumbria. Great camping and couple of pubs. Lots of teams do it. Can make a weekend of it. Theres a new balance clearance shop. I got some £70 marathon running trainers for £10. If i'd known it was there i would have bought a boot full and sold them on.
  3. Have found them ok i have got them set to a low tension which means there is some movement. Had couple of moments i thought i was going to disappear behind a car at lights but not fallen yet. Power wise it takes a little getting used to using both legs at the same time
  4. Dedicated. Got my cleats now so if i can get past yet another crash on m40 will have a blast
  5. Good training for these is short fast hill sprints, box jumps, pull ups, basically short sharp work outs then a few longer runs in the week.
  6. Tough mudder is expensive! Look at spartan race, total warrior too. Excellent races, great obstacles and £50. Rat race festival is the ultimate!
  7. Autotrader. It's a classic.just getting to the good bit
  8. Nightmare!! I got a puncture on an event and pump was rubbish. Got one of them lil gas ones now. Better you were miffed!
  9. Thanks. Hoping my son has a go as hes gotten a lil chunky. He's built for boxing
  10. Sounds like a very healthy way to go about it. I have started doing boxing on the wii. Called cardio workout. Pretty good. After 30mins a proper set of aching muscles and soaked. That coupled with regular cycles am hoping for results. Just gotta start with packed lunches!!
  11. Finding this thread very interesting as have a yew to drop next year. 30ft high. Want to make it pay and be useful for craft
  12. Haha i ain't huge its more a nickname. But kinda hoping to thin out a bit
  13. Road shoes and pedals bought. Get some miles in sunday
  14. Agreed warm or crusty bread is too tempting and always with butter!
  15. I think the hardest thing with cutting out bread is that you use it to make food mobile like sandwiches. So finding another way of doing that is awkward.
  16. Out of those pasta is the worst i should think as it contains wheat which is a bloater. As an interesting alternative to potato you could try sweet potato. Far less starch/ calories, packed with vitamins and fibre and tasty. Can be roasted. I like to chip them with a little paprika or cayenne over and roasted with a little olive oil. Can't say i look at diet quite the same as Rupe as my diet is very much based on ibs. Rupe is much more of a health and fitness guru.
  17. Yeah want to. Need cleats etc as 40miles plus and feet kill. By the sounds of it i reckon we could get an arbtalk charity cycle together
  18. Wow. Have been asked if i want to do a charity cycle worcester to Aberystwyth and back in a weekend! :0
  19. I operate a van. Do lots of work for water companies fitting monitoring devices. I do confined spaces rescue ( breathing app) and waterway monitoring and clearance. As far as trees go i suppose you could say i manage my uncles wood near ledbury. Not certed but learning lots and rather keen on woodland crafts. Lucky enough to have several days a month learning horse logging nearby. Kind of a woodland enthusiast. Always interesting to learn from you guys.
  20. Me too originally. Got a wii and several different fitness things like boxing and toning up and really aching arms so must be working!
  21. Yeah i am trying to find cleat pedals, shoes etc now. How much!!!
  22. Sure you do. I get feedback on everything i buy.
