Hi there, I've just read your post and would love to get involved !!! I'm 17 so no wife kids mortgage or financial restraints, but although young I have the necessary tickets (30/31 38/39) and I have experience working abroad. The idea of doing the job I love and helping people in there time of need sounds great. More info would be appreciated ! If you want to know any more about me just ask or have a look at my 'me myself and I' thread.

Heights

The higher i go the more I enjoy it, I know when I'm told to pack my harness I am going to have a good time! Maybe it's the stupidity of youth. I hope I never grow out of it whatever it is !!
8. The singing rock is an awesome harness well spotted !!
9. Believe me I'm under no illusions. My idea of good money is being able to sustain myself (the reason my last adventure went belly up). I know what Scandinavia is like and I love it. It was in Sweden nearly ten years ago when I decided to I was going to be tree surgeon. I'm not expecting an easy ride I want to work hard in every far flung place I can regardless if I return with a big bank balance or just experience which I value more. I just have itchy feet and when work is slow in winter I think it's the best time for a change of scenery. All thoughts and ideas welcomed. Ps Steve great idea but 5 years climbing is something I won't have for another 5 years unfortunately
10. Evening all! I'm interested in a winter adventure from around October and I really fancy Scandinavia but I'm unsure how to go about it. I'm looking for good experience good money and of course a good time !! Anybody been there and got the t-shirt and can give me some advice ? Cheers

21. Thanks for the helpful advice OMT ! Are there any websites explaining different apprenticeship schemes that I could make reference to when looking for employment?
22. Good advice OMT that would be my preferred option but trying to get all the pieces to fit together is the tricky bit now.
23. I don't have a clue, the website doesn't give much info so will need to look into them all further before I apply for anything. Also I need to look into part time work near the college because I will need to stay there because it's to far to commute everyday.
24. Received an email from barony college today, telling me interviews will be conducted shortly. They never said what course for having I looked at there website and I'm not sure what course offers the most for me. None of the courses mention tickets or qualifications. Soo.... Help Forestry and Arboriculture Barony College has anyone done any of the full time courses that this college offers and can tell me what they involve and qualifications i can expect. The college told me to contact the course tutor but again this is not mentioned on the website.
