    Cake!

Here's one a mates misses made for mine a while back.
  2. I did the level 4 with Treelife at Westonbirt, had an excellent tutor and venue was great! I'm in a similar position to you, been doing Tree Surgery for 17 years, tho not running my own business. I started off doing 10 hrs a week but found I was falling behind with the resubmissions, 14 hours a week was probably what I ended up doing in the end. A very intense course but thoroughly rewarding! 👍
  3. Just been for a 15k spin round the mountain, 1st time on the bike for 17 months. It felt so good to get back on it!
  4. Nice one fella! The wife found that hilarious! (Y)
  5. Just thought I would share a picture from today's takedown. I appear to have lost my head!
  6. I'm thinking Inonotus dryadeus ?
  7. Another pic of the underside of the fungi
  8. Picture is not very good but any ideas what this might be? Found it at the base of an Oak that failed at the roots.
  9. Sorry to hear of your loss R.I.P
  10. Is it a Cunninghamia lanceolata
  11. Downloaded Pages and it looks great however with word you could have landscape and portrait sections in the same document which you don't seem to be able to do with Pages!
  12. I certainly won't be going back to windows, this is the only issue I have had in 12 months! Apple all the way for me!
  13. I have googled the problem and it seems its a known fault that no-one wants to fix, looks like pages is the way to go!
  14. Sounds good I will look into it, I assume I can download it off apps.
  15. David have you tried saving documents with both landscape and portrait sections to PDF, I use the same version as you.
  16. Thanks guys It's a bit frustrating seeing as word cost me about £70 do you know how much pages costs?i will probably look into it a bit further before spending more money!
  17. I have had a MacBook for about a year or so and find it great except for 1 issue. I use Microsoft word for mac 2011 When I mail documents to people on windows odd characters get inserted where they shouldn't be. So I have tried saving the document as a PDF and sending it which works well until the document is made up of portrait and landscape sections and then the PDF gets split into 3 parts, it's easy enough to stitch the PDF's back together but the margins also get pushed out of place and information gets pushed off the page and is lost. Has anyone had similar issues
  18. I bought one from buybrandtools for £12 I think!
  19. I agree that the sooner the stumps are ground the better, but we were advised to do it when it wasn't sporalating. I understand the immature form doesn't produce spores but the black crust always persists I just wondered if there was a certain time of year spores are produced and if so does it matter? Or just grind out as soon as poss?
  20. I'm trying to find some information on when Kretzschmaria sporalates, can anyone help me with this. We have some stumps to grind out with Kretzschmaria and have been advised to grind them when the fungi isn't sporalating.
  21. A shot of the advanced decay in the roots, there was nothing holding it up yet crown looked fine!
  22. No! Tried to find out who owned the tree, fell down two weeks later!
  23. New research proves trees with Meripilus can read!
