    You couldn't see the soft rot in them photos but it was definitely there! I need a better camera. Pockets of soft rot within the white rot and black demarcation lines throughout the white rot.

    If they have a diameter of less than 75 mm at 1.5 m then carry on.

    There was Kretz present as well which would have contributed to the failure.

    Yes the tree was in full leaf, and yes the white patch was an extension of the fruit body.

    Probably a bit of a guess, but I believe they tend to be a bit flatter underneath than adspersum. 78 cm across, has anyone come across them this big before?

    Nice lie in this morning, couple of home made cards but no pressies, told I had too much for my birthday! Just been for a nice run with the dogs and having a takeaway with the inlaws later. A chilled out day!
