  1. Having been a plant operator and holding cards for over 20yrs I believe the whole citb/cscs/cpcs or whatever incarnation comes up system is a money making scam imo!
  2. looks very much like an oleo-mac that I have but thats orange &grey.
  3. Just a thought,I have used all sorts of things in an excavator grab to sweep up on jobs, chain link fencing, brash, lengths of rsj, rail line, even straw bales on tractor loader, you get the idea? cheers, martin.
  4. simples! just use some brash in the grab,a witches broom springs to mind.
  5. Thanks Ben,I should have made myself clearer, the courses were nptc cs30 & cs36-chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting downed timber. conducted by a fastco registerered instructor No 414. At the time I was working for a company doing a lot of site clearance etc and this was paid for by them! The chainsaw work I do now is mainly my own firewood from local farms and I would expect to do certificates of comp. again if I was to work in the industry again ££££££££! just curious really, thanks again.
  6. Back in 1999 I did cs30 &cs36 through the now defunct F.A.S.T.CO. Just out of curiosity, would these still be valid?
  7. the company I work for runs a fleet of takeuchi diggers from 1.5 tonne to 8tonne including conventional and zero swing versions also 8 tonne wheeled, brilliant machines imo,far better than some of the other makes I have used over the last 20+ years as a plant operator. I know where I would spend my money if I was in your position!
  8. thanks for your help al,I now know what alternatives I can use.regards, martin,
