  8. Thanks for your help everyone...by Jove I think he,s got it! Just tried it on a tree in the garden and it seemed to click. Youngest had a go and did it straight away. Kids Eh!
  9. have tried a couple just thought once the slack was tended to, the hitch should lock and hold you?

Here goes getting ready for the abuse.....I cant seem to get the hitch to lock out when climbing up hand over hand, I tend the slack by pulling the tail of the rope...as soon as I let go I slide back down the rope unless i dress the hitch each time.....If thats the case I might as well carry on with the blakes hitch? please help any sensible suggestions welcome The set-up of choice is skywalker pulley and michoghan eye to eye....well fed up:confused1:

  14. conny bashing today....finished at 2pm...felt a lot better once i was out of those stihl chainsaw trousers..drunk about 2ltrs of water today.

Hi Guys....been using the hitch climber set up.....seems to take a while to set-up first thing.....am I doing something wrong or is this the norm....I dont know shall I stick with it or go back to the old way of doing things (blakes hitch). what do you use a band to retain the friction cord from moving on the krab? thanks Matt

  19. cant get on with gloves unless its freezing......just dont seem to have such a good sense of feel with gloves on...like to know what the saws doing!....then again thats just me

  22. seen your pic... ordered mine today through sorbus international.......gave me a great price went for the skywalker pulley....and a mate has sold me his 2 week old hitch climber so have the choice now. Thanks again to sorbus for being so helpful
  23. yep got a 150 its a great chipper so far after almost seven years, just the paint is a bit naff
