  1. Hi all, Looking for some advice/tips as how you guys deal with large stumps from windblown trees? Had a bit of a ballache with one recently with a Euc stump/rootball which stood approx 5ft high when on its side, multi-stemmed and filled with sand/dirt, no access for a digger or grinder. Took us 2 days sectioning off small pieces and carting them round to the front of the house, cleaning each section to prolong chain life. I thought to myself i would ask on here before tackling the next one, and just been round to quote yet another windblown euc ( forth one in 1 1/2 months). So yet again its multi stemmed, twisted as it fell 3/4 of the rootplate above ground. 2ft side access ( yes 2 foot) so no access for a digger or grinder. The tree although large, we can clear in a day easy, just dont want to be spending days on removing the stump. So solutions? how do you guys deal with these situations? I did think about taking my jetwasher to attempt to clean it better before sectioning it up. Crane it over the house = Expensive (large house so would need very long boom) As said access is very tight so its got be sectioned up just to get it curbside. Thoughts?
  2. Some of the comments are amusing
  3. Yep, Lady Lane I believe. https://plus.google.com/103298483373205230359/about?gl=uk&hl=en
  4. You Bastards:001_tt2:!!
  5. Worked wonders for me, ordered 12,500 a6 leaflets for about £60. I found a couple of polish guys delivering local takeaway menus and got mine delivered with the menus for about £7.50 per 1000. Following that I arranged leaflet distribution for a couple of other peoples businesses making sure no more than 4 different trades went into each door at a time. I charge the other 3 people 1/3 of the delivery rate per 1000 and now get mine delivered for free. I also use the other methods mentioned above but the leaflet campaigns have been the most successful for sure.
  6. Made me itch just looking! Evil little critters.
  7. I thought the chatroom lagged really badly last year for the draw? Maybe an IRC channel would be better for this years draw.
  8. Thanks for the tip, less than a 5 min drive from base. Will get in contact with them
  9. Still looking for greenwaste site, east suffolk.
  10. Did think about that but guessed will need new filter afterwards?
  11. Im in suffolk so talking VERY slight hills, more so when needing to give throttle to maintain speed.
  12. All genuine ford parts used on the service and the garage is VERY busy often see HGV cabs in there brimming their tanks, Its on the outskirts of Ipswich near to the A12/14. Without removing the tank is there anything i can do to try and get the worst of the congealed stuff off? Im assuming there will be some due to the vans age... cough 1995 cough.. Lack of power is present also but it been like that since i got her a year ago, assumed they just were a little guttless.
  13. I have switched to a local garage now (within last few months anyway) and its a Texaco. Surely the light would just stay on though no? Adding "drain the filter" to my daily routine may get annoying!!!
  14. Not using Bio no. Tank averages 1/2 full id say. Not really had this issue before OR with my other diesel vehicles.
  15. Starting getting this warning light come on after 5-10 mins of driving, this was about 2 months ago. Truck was due a service anyway so got the filter replaced and all was well again... After about 200 miles it has started to creep on every now and then, mainly when under load on hills. Now i know its a simple job to just drain the filter but wondered where this extra water is coming from? Maybe a bad seal on the fuel filler cap? Tank breathers? Odd thing is that the light comes on and goes off again..... surely if theres water present its there? MK5 Transit btw
  16. Just paid for mine, 2 tickets last year and 2 prizes! Also eyeing the harness
  17. Think i have the same?!?!? Anyway purchased over a year ago and going strong still, cheap compared with others but almost as comfy as my hiking boots, will be buying another pair when needed. Mine did come with some metal spikes on the sole but are removed easily with an allen key as will snag when wearing spikes and leave scars on limbs. I must of tryed 10 different boots in different sizes and these were by far the best for me.
  18. Ah forgot about the online PDF! Cheers. No info I also see, Maybe a bit of guess work needed here!
  19. Not got my manual to hand, frosted van this morning so checking antifreeze levels in all the vehicals and machines, anyone happen to know the volume of the 150dhb cooling system? Thanks
  20. Yep! One of the lucky ones!
  21. Thanks guys. Picked her up and seems to have decent alarm system already with door and bonnet switches, tip/tilt sensor and does central locking! Little posh for a fender i thought but all good. Also has rewired battery with cut-offs and fuel cut off, so some of hassles are gone already. Out of interest, anyone had the spare wheel nicked before? Someone must of but wondered if its worth securing a little better.
  22. Thats for all the input guys. So... Alarm Disc lock Pedal locks Fuel shut off Battery shut off Tracker Put some dents (more) on her Get a dog Make some gates. gotcha
  23. I wouldnt bin it! Just dont climb on it. Will come in handy for something at some point no doubt.
  24. Live tracking would be awesome and no subscription means even at £200+ would be worth while, May even look into one for the chipper also
  25. Funny you should mention those, had one fitted to a car i had a while ago due to being a 2 seater (tight squeeze to get in) and having bucket seats, I believe it was a Momo wheel. Did the job fine but i was always worried about it coming off whilst driving!
