  2. I can picture having something like this in a open plan warehouse flat conversion with a cage type lift like you sometimes see on US films...not sure if it sold or not...

  5. I have noticed recently, that some of the smaller electric/hydraulic log splitters now come with a safety cage....is due to accidents with the earlier versions??

This is not me...but makes me cringe every time I think about it....from a H&S prospective its easy to forget injuries are not all related to chainsaws, axes and other tools....TV were showing tree fellers working in either US or Canada...they were talking about injuries to hands, legs etc then one of them said he lost one of his balls....very big ouch..... basically the tree was down on a slope and he was cutting back the branches, while standing to the tree with chainsaw in hand, he slipped....no, injury not caused by the chainsaw between his legs but a very sharp branch stub caught him as he slid down the trunk..!!!!
  8. For the future I would use a Disk lok, the one that covers the complete steering wheel, a few years ago I lost the key, tried drilling lock/surround and failed...metal is hardened....luckily found the key before serious damage was done...

  10. Hi all, what is the rule of thumb for tightening up a new chain/old chain...have a STIHL MS250 16 inch for cutting up logs for woodburner.....

Have a look at your local Council's website to see how they investigate complaints/general advice, may help you...Generally, Council's allow businesses to operate as long as you don't go too late or Saturday afternoon/ Sundays....be nice to your council officer if he visits and make out your neighbour is being unreasonable...

Had my brother in law over from France recently and he mentioned how many trees he has cut down in his small wood, and I have yet to do so...only use my 16 inch Stihl (upgraded from a McCulloch) to cut up ready felled trees...wondering what it felt to cut down your first tree and what went wrong....
  22. What haul, probably just charged for handling as he didn't want to grass on his mates who helped him steal this stuff!!! Have heard that police are reluctant to help when a member of public reports finding their stolen goods on ebay or gumtree....well done to them on this occasion...
