  1. Merry Christmas A little early I know, but I have so many happy beautiful friends, I thought I'd get the ugly fuckers out of the way first. After careful consideration of your performance in 2018 I have decided to extend our friendship for another 12 months. A little Christmas message for you. Not every flower can say love, but a rose can. Not every plant survives a thirst, but a cactus can. Not every retard can read, but look at you go, little buddy! Today you should take a moment and send an encouraging message to a fucked up friend, just as I have done. I don't care if you lick windows, or fuck farm animals. You hang in there cupcake, because you're fucking special to me, and you're my friend. Look at you smiling at your phone / PC screen, you crayon eating mother fucker! Merry Christmas my special friends Don't fuck it up. All the best in 2019 x
  2. No pics = it didn't happen.... Over to you..?
  3. Struggling to get a grip on your logic there Mark. If yome all qual’d up but wouldn’t work over yome own house maybe your choice of training and training provider was a bit iffy? Not sure I’d want anyone other than myself working above my house.
  4. It’s Christmas Eve Eve, I’m not rising to the bait you pair of Northern ?’s
  5. Unseasonably George in Looe, 11 degrees this evening, wouldn’t believe it was so close to Christmas if it hadn’t been for the battered brussel sprouts at the chippy.
  6. Never been to Suffolk! Thinking about it, not even sure I could put a pin in it on the map ?
  7. Don’t tell him there’s a redundant chipper available! He’ll have it cannibalised and converted into some sort of Frankenchipper!
  8. If you didn't have that dodgy bloke helping out I could have come with the MultiOne ?
  9. She likes County Down better than County Up, Subtraction and Multiplication they always catch her out ?
  10. The TPO is here: http://webapps1.poole.gov.uk/reportit/default.aspx?incidenttype=tree preservation orders http://webapps1.poole.gov.uk/mapthatdocuments/TPO_documents/TPO1/0/0181.pdf Good to see they are online, a bit annoying that the page orientation is all over the place. A 1962 Area TPO - that could have done with some updating in the intervening 50+ years. https://www.lgo.org.uk/decisions/environment-and-regulation/trees/06b16269
  11. Ah, understood, I presumed it was a private company. Maybe refresh the existing qual and add 1 or 2 new qual's so that there is flexibility and availability within the overall team would be easier to justify than 4 new qual's?
  12. I can appreciate the benefit of having the qual in the company tool box, and since you've already got it, maybe send 1 additional staff member rather than 4 and consider a re-fresher for yourself? I'm not sure 1 would necessarily trump another (PTI v Lv 4) but they would certainly complement each other and a refresher would be valuable CPD - easy to justify for business case.. Why do you have to do a business case? Is it your own business or are you seeking external funding support?
  13. The liability does not rest with the FC to check for extant TPOs at the consideration of a FL - the applicant should tell them if they know there is one in effect. If the applicant doesn't know if there is a TPO in effect, they have to check, just the same as any other tree they plan to work on. That liability rests wholly with the land owner / person doing the cutting.
  14. It’s getting towards the end of 2018. Was there a thread round abouts this time last year (or an earlier year) where we all had to nominate the “word of the year” or some such? If (a) yes and (b) it’s gonna happen again.... I’m voting for “Bumfuckistan” as the word of the year! Oh, and by the way, if anyone doesn’t agree, or if there IS a poll, I don’t care what the result is if I don’t agree, I’ll just keep demanding ANOTHER poll until Bumfuckistan wins! (PS - this post is sponsored by Ballantine’s finest blended scotch whiskey ??)
  15. I'd say there's an unstoppable tide of change coming, certainly for those that are open to a different approach. Maybe freedom from the shackles of the CAP will provide the policy which will enable and encourage a quantum shift in public thinking. MSM embracing a new way of thinking: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-46459714 It's obviously deeply flawed (example: the carbon footprint calc for apples allows for no distinction between those that are internationally imported in comparison to those that are picked from yon own tree or the potential unforeseen consequence - if I have 6 less roasts dinners I'm good for a flight to Malaga) None the less, good to see a groundswell of interest in such topics. I'm about as far as it's possible to get from being a preachy vegan but I can see that 'we' have to seriously address the environmental imbalance and irresponsibility (and the blatant BS propaganda from the likes of the NFU) about the way we are farming and consuming.
  16. The available / suitable units (or rather the lack thereof) might give rise to a change of approach? What about a large external gasification & thermal store (maybe under floor heating if still in the build process or rads if UFH not suitable) combined with a couple of smaller internal wood burning stoves for atmosphere & some redundancy or zoning? Fringe benefits of avoiding more arduous building regs, operating, cleaning & maintenance of a larger unit within the food service area. Great to hear of people embracing these concepts and utilising that which is too often thought of as "waste."
  17. She was an entirely consensual TaeKwonDo participant Paul.... (honest guv!) (rather embarrassing that I 'broke' myself against her - in a manner of speaking! ?)
  18. Much obliged Paul! Great Cornwall Branch seminar recently with Mr Barrell as headline speaker! Work as busy as ever but broken toe last Thursday is causing some considerable pain and immobility ? (not to mention embarrassment since it happened whilst kicking a 15 year girl!) Maybe at least I'll have a quieter run in to Christmas this year (but at the expense of having to catch up in the NY (face palm)). New projects on the horizon for the new year which may well give me the kick up the backside to finally start the accreditation process... A few loose ends to tie off first but looking likely!
  19. You are a LEGEND Paul!!! ?????? (I hadn't kept a copy because it was obsolete, but was frustrated by not being able to cross read a foot note from Mynors which referenced it). ??
  20. Has anybody got an e-copy or know of a link to one??
  21. And just for good measure, here's a brief insight into the Cornish Strategic Planning process whilst I ponder if I should attend the East Sub Area Planning Committee tomorrow to listen to the outcome of one of my clients applications which has been called to committee: This might raise a smile Gary @Gary Prentice
