  1. 2511t & t540xp 560xp occasionally use ms440 to check its still working. Ported 372xp or makita 7900 (which ever is working and swap the bars over 😆) 395xp
  2. Paul..... I’ve never known someone so enthusiastic when it’s pissing down! ☔️😆😆😆😆
  3. Thanks for the input, I’m going to stick with petrol...... on some commercial work I can do near a full shift on a polesaw, but do fancy trying out a battery groundsaw or topper!
  4. Hi arbtalkers, unfortunately last week was my turn, 1st of April (not an April fools) stolen from my lock up in Alnwick, Northumberland Following tools: ms200t,t540xp ms044 (spud ported with brand new red 20”sugi bar & double felling spikes) ms461 395xp 3120xp (1 year old ex cond.) HS82 RC trimmer HT133 pole saw. also if anyone has any advise on a replacement polesaw..... no brand loyalty here.... what’s the echo & husky like??? Or do I stick with the stihl. thanks, Mark
  5. Defender 90 with BFG muds (km3’s) towing tracked chipper & plant trailer/tipping trailer
  6. Looking to buy a plant trailer for a TW230 VTR, looking at an ifor GH 94/BT any run this combo?? Does it fit & tow alright?
  7. Religiously drop the oils every 5k and flush the intercooler and catch tank. gets looked after really well because I rely on it so much ?

    2.8TGV

Anyone run 2.8TGV in there defender?? just thinking If the 300 tdi ever went pop is it a worthwhile conversion?? defender is on galv chassis with 300 mounts anyway. Mods done: fresh Garret turbo with actuator rod slightly shortened, tweeked pump as per 300auto spec, allisport intercooler. Non CAT. Tows ifor & tracked chipper ok ? around 2.5 tonne.
  9. I absolutely love land rovers! But IMO a tipper is a waste of time! Awful to drive and you can hardy get a decent load on the back legally. If running two vehicles and still needing a 4x4 as one of them? A decent tipping trailer is much more useful? My landy handles well on its heavy duty suspension, tippers and cherry pickers just wallow around and try and kill you!
  10. Prefer huskies, but for 70cc range it has to be 440/461 then 395xp for bigger stuff.
  11. All sorted now. Thanks to Ian who got in touch ASAP! Also if anyone in north east needs a freelance climber please call me! 07706869192. Thanks again Mark.
  12. Loler needed Newcastle/ Northumberland. 2x climbing kits & 1x rigging kit. Please pm or phone on: 07706869192 Thanks Mark.
