  2. Not Paul, I think they have interacted, perhaps in the seminars Paul and Eric had years ago for Japanese climbers. My favorite remains the Bulldog Bone, and the Japanese climber embellishes the Bones for other climbers and uses at least two for his own use (think two ropes). The OAR actually predates the Bulldog Bone (and an early OAR inspired Jamie on his own path to the Akimbo). I took this up again specifically at the request of the climber who wants it.
  3. That is what the Bulldog Bone does well.
  4. Not midline. I have been revisiting the OAR at the request of the Japanese climber who says he does not care if it is midline, just so it will work seamlessly DRT/SRT with his Tachyon, which I have been testing with a new elongated bollard in the top arm, in addition to the Tendril shown in the video.
  5. No. not at this point in time.
  6. I continue to work on the OAR, which William from the Buzz called the Bomb Diggity. I am receiving feedback from a climber in Japan and of course the US, and this one shows real promise. ss spine, 7075 aluminum arms and teardrops. This one is 12 oz, but will be a bit more with the steel bollard. The wear points are ss shoulder bolts with a steel elongated bollard in the top arm. It releases well either DRT or SRT and tends very similar the the Bulldog Bone.
  7. When I was in highschool, my pal and I would go along a wooded lane deep into the the woods to visit a hermit who told us stories of the first world war. He said that there was a platoon of black soldiers, and that after a gas attack they mounted a charge, which freaked the Germans out, as they thought the soldiers were some sort of zombie fighters.

  10. Yes, I am sure that many are using that size rope, although I don't remember anyone specifically mentioning atrax. I think the Bone would likely prefer a more supple rope.
  11. The beech I had milled into lumber (1 by), was a beautiful salmon color with interwoven grain, but when strip stacked and air dried it warped badly and became rock hard.
  12. Not sure about the range, but Wikipedia has a picture of one on a shrub, taken in Germany.

  14. Evidently, according to a new poll in Russia, the percentage of Russians who say they trust Putin has increased from some 63 percent, to over 80 percent. Of course. it may not be wise to say otherwise....
  15. The new blade must be the explanation, but no idea why.
  16. One politician who has aspired to be president here in the US recently called this scene a "White mausoleum, where honor and honesty go the die"
  17. I think the Bone will only receive a CE cert. if a major gear company takes it on.
