  1. Messed about with it tonight, cut my grass with it and when it was hot it wasn't right...... I only looked in the inlet side when I got it, think the cause of the problem was a split it the cylinder gasket
  2. Evening Put a new carb kit in this thing, had it running, tuned it up sounded good:thumbup1: next day went too start it and it will not start just floods so it's at the back of the queue for now
  3. Cheers Steve Fuel line is good👍 was a lot of pressure in the tank, took the carb of and the fuel was pissing out the pipe there has been no fuel getting into the carb
  4. Got an old stihl fs 66 looks in good condition 👍 but won't start, it has spark but it not getting fuel, had a quick squint at the carb last night it was dry inside, the H and L screws where sitting in by 2 threads each
  5. The little 170 has a Kat and i think it runs that hot that it baked all the crap around the brake linkage, it was solid stuff:thumbdown: The 171 wasn't as bad as the 170 but still bad I've got his stump grinder to service next, can't wait to see that:001_rolleyes:
  6. Not sure, but the saw has never been cleaned Inside the starter assembly 😂

  8. Sure did prefer stihl now... Anyone saw the o26c on eBay?

  11. Haha I can do it no bother I've heard people struggle with them:001_tt2: don't see what the problem is
  12. Going to cut an inch off this spring
  13. Many times sent a few emails last year about it and I gave Eddie there details but they must not be interested A pal of mine was round the other day so I could sort some of his saws out and he's been a tree surgeon for many years, he's never heard of it either.. We must be in the dark ages around these parts. If the golf course where I'm a member and my dad works used it they would have next to none knackered machines, probably why they don't sell aspen because they would lose out on sales of new equipment? Strimmers hedge trimmers and blowers sit all winter with the fuel that was left in them and the feul that was mixed during the summer for them is what goes in them! 6 month old feul will be fine in them:thumbup1:
  14. 40mile round trip for aspen was in my local dealer the other day picking up bits and pieces, the guy on the other side of the counter had never heard of it
  15. Not sure yet, thought the 1 you've got was clean, this one is a cracker
  16. SPOTLESS apart from the crappy bar
  17. On to the next 1 Now the saw I got of Dan Earp is all complete sounds amazing heated handles work now and it turns off:001_rolleyes: revs out idles nice and starts no bother, it's on aspen Do I sell it or keep it? I'm getting a load of stihl strimmers soon 400 & 450s so they will keep me busy I'm after a knackered o44 or similar
