    Dolmar or echo

I'm after a new saw just for cutting logs....I've got 2 old stihls I'm going to sell had good intentions of fixing these up and using them but have no time I hear good things about both dolmar and echo so I fancy one of these 😁 Not after a big cc saw something with a 14" bar and enjoys aspen Any advice is appreciated
  2. Haha:laugh1: I'm going too 😁
  3. Ha chill out its not just the twist cap, just fancy something different... Transits are rubbish
  4. Ahaha I'm fed up with old saw, just going to buy a new shiny one 😜 Really fancy an echo or a dolmar 👍 Something small light and reliable
  5. I'm thinking echo only had stihl and husqvarn saws but I don't need 1 for daily use
  6. I will swap 2 saws for 1 that works Ms240 064 I runs not to well and the other is in bits
  7. Has that on my mates 170 the oil cap would tighten itself up, had to use vice grips to open it
  8. They look ok will have a look later, I see a pole saw
  9. The saw is still not right, stripped it's down cleaned the carb checked all the fuel lines intake boot took the springs off the clutch everything was all good. When your cutting with its bogs down even when it's just with the weight of the saw but lift it out the cut slightly and it picks up again 😡
  10. 😂 I was one, first stihl machine cap I've struggled with
  11. Just noticed your near me.... Did you hear me shout and swear at it?
  12. Welcome it's a ms240 had a few stihls machines with these caps and this is the first bother I've ever had with them
  13. I did think that but it fine now, need a drink
  14. Got it I walked away from it had a snout used some bad language and put it in and turned it like a man... It worked 👍😜
  15. Ahahaha 😜 Got a pile of wood needing cut up and 2 chainsaws that don't work
  16. Since I've had this saw its not been right, first time I've had any bother with them but it's a new stihl cap and it just the same as the 1 I took off it? Nothing about the tank has changed but stihl not sitting right 😞
  17. These things are crap, ordered a new set of caps because the fuel 1 didn't sit right and the new 1 is the same been messing about with it trying to take it past the stops trying it in different positions with no joy😢 Anyone want this saw I hate this thing!!
  18. Heard these looneys making a awful noise on Sunday morning on mull!! I won't be back too many cocks
  19. The first picture I mean round the circumstance of the clutch... Only half is shiny the drum looks fine inside, I will have the springs of it lube it up and put it back together Only bought it because I was sawless and had would to cut so it will be for sale soon enough
  20. Put it back together and popped the clutch of, looks like it's only been running on half of the drum
