  1. Agreed they chip like a nutter when working , no better than the Jensen its modeled on though ....
  2. Nicely done .
  3. Flip em every 3 weeks more like !
  4. You 2 need to raise your game and get stuck in then 😁
  5. 1Shiling and 6pence and a bag of gobstoppers .
  6. @adw ?
  7. A Burley stove is nowhere near as complicated as the above !
  8. I don't know but could it be set up for for a smokeless zone ?
  9. No , no problem , kept us bizzy 👍
  10. You were on the money openspace man . Schoolboy error 😁
  11. I use the auto shut off one for the mix but the ordinary pour one for the chain oil . As you say they stay on the can .
  12. Just don't go for beige 👍
  13. Your old fashioned . 😊
  14. You can actually run an 8 pin ( slightly bigger dia than a 7 pin ) with standard drive link count so yep it would be like a limp prick with one extra driver 😊
  15. Why not go the whole hog and get a mankini Khriss 😁
  16. Of course . 👍
  17. Ok . Its a shame Jensen Parts/servicing is harder to come by now . I think they are a good " mid level " chipper , tried and tested . Not without their niggles , crud getting stuck under the right hand roller spigot is the annoying one but can be sorted on site by shoving a big ugly lump in and hitting the stop bar mid way . This holds the rollers up and you can quickly clear it with a flat blade screw driver . Keeping the blades sharp and rollers sharp avoids this though .
  18. I think its not so much the chunks it can pull in but how it handles fluffy brash , especiallt connie .
  19. I think its because Red Wood stopped Stocking them . We used to get " South African " Charles out to service it as he did work for Red Wood then went on his own . Think he has gone home now .
  20. Once someone has fired some chip through them they are all second hand . We had a 540 from new some 12 or so years ago . Had the rollers sharpened a few times , a new solenoid and a new battery lead . Its still going now chipping as good as ever .
  21. The method I use is to tighten nuts finger tight , hold saw by back handle and drop bar tip on a log then adjust with the bar tip still taking all the weight and tighten . Always worked for old me . 😊
  22. You would be better off with a second hand Jensen A540 .
  23. They need a revamp of their QC . Or maybe they don't have any at all ?
  24. I think he means the little Stihl " one shot " bottles of 2t oil . You snap the cap off and pour it in , does exactly 5ltrs . Expansive way of doing it but convenient .
