  1. All I know is Husky sold the first generation A/T to Stihl when they developed the 2nd gen or 3rd gen .
  2. As far as I know the early Stihl Mtronics used the first version of the Huqvarna A/T as Husky sold it to them after they moved on to the 2nd/3rd generation .
  3. I thought the Stihl was to let it idle but not got an Mtronic Stihl so don't really know .. Husky is definitely bury the bar in the cut for a few mins .
  4. I think that is the Stihl reset . The husqvarns reset is to bury the bar the full length and cut for several mins like that .
  5. Stubs make good files also . ( no relation ) 🙂
  6. You could well be correct but I hate it when people assume .
  7. Yep . They don't bite like they used to . I find Save edge dig in well .
  8. No not now as I don't buy many chains being out of the game now . Most Stihl chains seem to be .063 to fit Stihl bars funnily enough but they do make them in Husky gauge and when I came across them i would buy them .
  9. As can Cad plating . ( Cadmium )
  10. Used on guns as an alternative to " blueing "
  11. Yep . Its how I envisaged it panning out . Oregon for me . Have used Stihl when I can get them in .058 .
  12. Yep I put a couple of strokes on new cutters .
  13. Went for a long walk with dog today , West Dean / Cowdray woods . Had a mixture of cold drizzle , freezing fog and the odd snow flake all dependent on elevation I think . . Noticed some " wind blown " larch after the storm .
  14. Is that Reeves a wildy ? or is he a " kept " bird from somewhere near by ? We had some of those together with Goldies and Tragapans up in West Dean arboretum . They did not breed though and eventually the half blind knobs shot them .
  15. Very comprehensive and well thought out test . Hats off to him for not getting bored ...
  16. Welcome by the way Jamie . Steve Bullman is the boss , its his site . If you have any problems give him a message bud .
