  1. Fixing any head to any machine is mainly about the hydraulic oil flow,(litres per minute), in this case i'd go for one of the smaller Keto's, the Keto are known to require little oil flow incomparrison with other heads, also something light is easier to manouvre and won't make the base unit unstable. But be warned fitting heads is an expensive business.
  2. Very posh, done a good job on the guarding, just watch out for the steps- stroke fuel tanks inbetween the wheels, they tend to be a bit low if you drive the front wheels over stumps placing the steps to lodge on the stumps, sometimes buckeling them or even knocking them off.
  3. Taupotreeman, I'm coming over, its getting too closterophobic here, can't even buy a power tool without showing your papers, what if i want to buy a grinder? will i be refused? The government are taking an unhealthy involvement in how we are running our lives. The fun has almost gone out of doing anything now.....
  4. Rain been blowed across the hillsides here in Mid-Wales. but thats normal.
  5. With bigger cuts there is no pain for the first half hour usually, I think thats because the cut is under the nerve line, but after half an hour it starts throbbing like hell and goes really stiff to move. I remember a few years back, I was chockering on my own on a saturday morning on a hillside, when one of the trees rolled down a bit as i was putting the chain around it, unbeknown to me there was some sharp pointy branches on the underside of the tree, so whaen it started rolling it caught the back of my left thigh and gouged a 4inch long x 3inch deep cut, didn't feel a thing untill i noticed some blood on the boots, and some wind blowing on the bare skin through the torn trousers. Had a look "christ" lets get from here I told myself. Well the drive home took me ages, stuck behind caravans and lorrys going about 35mph, with the pain now reaching horrible levels, the worst part was pressing the clutch down to change gear, severe pain doing that, looking down to see blood soaked seat didn't do nothing for my nausia either. Got to the hospital and sewn be back up under local anasthetic, had to take a month off because the cut was horizontal not vertical, which meant walking and straightening my leg was very sore. Hope you make a full and speady recovery....You'll be ok.
  6. £40 per m3, thats cheap, can you make a go of it at that price? is that price inline with your competitors.
  7. I don't see much point in that, they will only burn them when they are dry, you might aswell season them yourself for the normal price.
  8. In the event of the invasion, I know who my money would be on,..I wouldn;t bet against the Germans.
  9. We had Zetor's back many years ago, what I remember about them were that they were excellent climbers on hills, but prone to breaking front halfshafts.
  10. As i said in a thread last week Hitler could have taken Britain in !940 when Britain were at their weakest and Germany at their peak of their powers, but Hitler pulled out of an invasion, instead he knew he had bigger fish to fry,"Russia", hence keeping his troops for that.
  11. Don't give me that old tosh Michael, Anyone with half a brain can see that Britain is slowly becoming the 51 State, what with their slang, chainstores, and "I'll sue your ass" terminology, Britain is slowly been dumbed down. Historically Britain has always had a strong identity of its own, going back 1000's of years, it would be sacrilage to destroy this. I hear kids talking in the street using American words, I turn away and cringe. Is this what you like?
  12. Sergio Leone's Spaghetti western films for me,........... (note the word film), I dislike the American term "movie", too much of this yanky vocabulary is creeping into our language.
  13. What I can't make out is how they steer the trucks, what is stopping the truck from going straight on when you turn the steering wheel either left or right, especially on sharp corners.
  14. I'm envious of those flat ground conditions, here in Wales we're fighting the hillsides on a daily basis, its hard on the machines.
  15. You should do it in one day, 1 cutting, 1 chipping, 1 carrying. Tip......... when you are eating, chew on both sides of your mouth, so you can get back to work quick.
  16. How is that going to make you money?
  17. Doubleing your money,.. now thats more like it.
  18. Well if a bit of fuel and printing leaflets etc, is too much, well there isn't much hope.
  19. I'd say try a leaflet drop you have got nothing to lose and much to gain, but do proper job mind, only drop off in areas where you consider to be the most benificial.
  20. I see what you mean, but in that case aren't all adverts begging for work.

    winch job

Can you use a hand winch (tirfor) to get the stump out?, failing that knock the soil from around the stump and cut it up in bits with the chainsaw using bio oil.
