Hi Alex

I've seen your post from last April and am very interested in just planting 5 acres of Black Locust to keep a woodbnurner going on short rotation coppice and maybe sell anything that is good quality. I've seen people advising to grow the thorn free variety. How did you get on?

3. Alex, Did you manage to locate Tulin 81-62? I am looking for a thorn free variety.
4. Nostril filters.
5. I burn an extortionate amount of wood and often wonder if i would be better off selling the wood and buying in oil.

sciatica

This link below worked for me. Follow instructions and pain gone by the time I had finished it. [ame] [/ame]

sciatica

Go on YouTube. Search sciatica exercises. Worked for me instant relief.
8. Trouble is if you plant a tree then its no longer yours because the jobsworths go and put a TPO on it. I wouldn't plant a hedge either for the same reason.

£300,000 a week!

All you got to do is stop buying newspapers with sports pages, don't go to football matches and don't buy anything that he advertises.
10. Yes that's correct. So much paperwork involved the job becomes low on farmers list. Some white collar officer would have to come out on a joy ride and inspect the said ditch, write a report, tell the farmer where to put the spoil which he would probably have to cart away at vast expense. Result is farmer thinks oh b.gger it, it won't flood and job never gets done..
11. Sack all Natural England too. They are a drain (forgive the pun) on the taxpayer.
12. Spot on. Hypocritical RSPCA. Take their charitable status away from them for not giving assistance to a once in a lifetime animal disaster.

Tanaka saw

Have just bought a Tanaka ECV 4501. Was told its equivilant to a Stihl but less money in the same way a can of Comma is much less than a can of Castrol same spec oil. What do you think?
14. Ive just bought a Tanaka ECV 4501. A great professional saw and starts very easily. These Japanese engines last and the saw is much better price than a Stihl or Husky. With Stihl you pay for the name like we used to with Castrol. It's got all round vibration rubbers too.
15. Secure a long length of chain to a lump of concrete and attach other end to the trailer chassis. Cover up the slack length of chain so it can't be seen in the dark. When he's hitched up and pulls hard away with your trailer he'll tear his chassis off his new van.

Hmrc

I know somebody who takes great delight in making HMRC work for their money. He rings them up and sends them on a wild goose chase.

sawhorse

Thinking of getting a Buckingham woodstation. What's best chainsaw to use and what length of bar is the most suitable to use with this type of sawhorse?
19. Got the hycrack with the larger platform. Brilliant tool but think the screw could have been designed to have been a couple of inches further up from the platform so it doesnt just split the lower end of the log. Safety . . .watch the log doesn't spin over and bash your right hand. Better not to use any grip with your right hand, just light support so you can quickly let go should the log flip over. Also don't be distracted and look away while you have a log splitting.
20. I put half an acre of spruce in ten years ago thinking it would be a moneyspinner. They all grew up spindly a d had a he'll of a job pruning them by hand. What with keeping weeds down with a knapsack and spraying for aphids it was a disaster.
21. Anyone know of a processor for hire Suffolk or north Essex?
22. Tell me is a m3 defined as a cube of loose chucked in logs or a tightly packed m3. Must make big difference as loose stuff must weigh half what packed up weighs at. Which m3 do you sell?
