  3. A card would have been nice!
  4. Come on you lot, none of us are gettin any younger! Is it too much to ask for a pro lightweight saw with carving set up????
  5. The horse reminds me of Heather Jansch, she's well established in the uk for making driftwood horses. I've attached a pic.http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/11/28/article-1090255-02A05FA0000005DC-144_634x286.jpg Here's one of mine, a high tide marker to highlight coastal erosion. It points to where the sea is expected to encroach in fifty years time.
  6. For a second then my little eyes lit up! Still, looks sharper than those fakes though
  7. It's my birthday tomorrow, don't be shy. Who's getting me a new chainsaw then?
  8. We live in a tiny semi with paper thin walls and get on great with our neighbours. Having said that I'm probably the noisiest in the street. Luckily I don't have to put up with HOVERING neighbours:001_tongue:
  9. This site is chock full of great ideas:thumbup:
  10. Apologies for veering off subject but I've noticed a sycy along my local footpath that has been "ringed". (not sure of the correct term- but trunk has been severed with a chainsaw about an inch deep all the around. The path and all trees are maintained by the council and I'm assuming they wouldn't have done it, so I guess it was some cheeky fecker who has light and leaf fall issues.
  11. Checked the listing again this morning, and it's been removed:thumbup: should post it on the good deed thread mate:001_smile:
  12. A mossed excellent find!
  13. Yeh, it's a cracker. Well spotted:thumbup:
  14. Brilliant work, what's the sculptors name & has he got a website?
  15. Never used it, I've heard it splits quite bad but ok for practice work. It's all relative any ways - I just spotted where you are. would be an epic journey form here!
  16. Impressive, nice work. What's the fate of them big lumps? Look just right for carving, where are you based?
  17. Some gratuitous hole shots there mate! No seriously, you've got a nice series of art shots in the mix. Very well thought through.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
