  1. 👍 A good bunch here so ask away in different threads and get stuck in bud. Welcome
  2. Tree trunks or stems etc bud. Basically the long poles of wood
  3. Nice post, but just one thing, to make batteries and of course oils/fuels the whole process to making a finished product is worse than you first think. For example and very brief, those hybrid cars have large batteries, there mined in one country sent across the world to be processed etc and it goes on. Im not having a go at all, but what ever we choose to use it has an effect some where 👍
  4. So get ur facts right as ive been in longer than a year. Granted its less than 5. If you have used it '12months' ago why all the questions when youve seen and used it first hand? Instead winding others up!
  5. 1. Im no mate 2. Since u have tried it such a long time ago, why not see what aspen or others are like now?
  6. Tree just pull out a £20 note out ur pocket and buy a can to try it once and for all
  7. Ive logged up snedded topped out connies etc with a ms150 10" bar back handle and haven't had a problem used the full length on the bar at some point and still ran sweetly, its very light and a nice little saw.
  8. From speaking to a guy at ford, the wildtrak an the cersion below are on a 2-3yr waiting list here in leicester. The two 'lower' versions have a smaller waiting time though. Theyve change to a beefier engine made out in south Africa i believe which other ranger nutts i know love
  9. Aye hedge, the kit i own has all been new apart from a 260. I can go do a small pruning/ thinning etc job to 70" dismantles. Its just during those larger jobs cash is being spent else where when if i was to have the kit or veh itll be spent in my own little world or as an extra bit of profit to improve upset. Anyways in the next coming weeks ill soon find out if help is available or just continue the slow road ahead lol
  10. Lol, 👍 It was on there website today and I've ask to speak to a group of people in different sections to get a better idea of whats out there
  11. Yeah cheers mark i read that it was frozen til next month. I understand that its not going to be a quick turn over, so am inquiring now for early next year (march)
  12. Get a ms150 back handle. To buy a saw to run a 18" bar ud need to spend more than £600. But as said its a waste
  13. O i understand bud, what kit i have i have earned for, what id like is the basic 4x4 and trailer. I can get a chipper cheap as and when i need it. Ive never gone "cheap" just to get the work but have worked for what i think im worth. Ive been saving for a while now but im chomping at the bit to get going. Hence why im asking the question. I have been to Natwest but as you said they want a lot of cash upfront and was at a stuipd % rate
  14. Yes i work full time as well and two other landscapers etcetc. Do i have been saving but feel the need to take the jump sooner than later
  15. You can take the label off and put them in recycled waste bud👍
  16. Cheers I've emailed R.B.L so will await till friday.
  17. Thanks guys, yep im 32 so will try the british legion 👍. Currently i have a full time job, work my own private jobs,as well as working for two landscapers, and just recently logging up and splitting for someone else's firewood business. Ive been Around for a couple of years and have a nice small client base so far, ready to expand, with around 50-60% of my own equipment which ive worked/saved for.
  18. Just a thing that came to mind would be that though ud get the heat from the chip would you not also get the vapour from the chip into the split logs ? Interesting idea and will follow this bud👍
  19. Hi guys just wondered if these start up loans where any good? Or if anyone has gone down this route? Ive heard about a regional growth fund etc but haven't heard anything back yet. Ive been currently trying to put cash away for things id need to start up a very basic small (2man firm) ie a ranger and trailer etc etc. Any views or a steer in the right direction would be gratefully received Thanks Dan
  20. Congrats and enjoy your time off with your new arb family👍
