  14. The bob watson book will really click as you rattle through your course. Just keep up to date with your coursework and it will be fine during college time, just got to make sure you catch up on the work. I did all mine during my hort course. Before your course is as good, just read through the nptc assessment schedule. Memorise the " demonstrate knowledge questions" Arran

  16. Looks smart, whats it like to climb with? Looks so much like Marlow boa Arran
  17. There is a dead oak which is being removed about 4 metres away at least. Its almost a pole so nothing will touch by a long shot just needs chogging down, no target whats so ever. Around are smaller oaks which probly come within 2 metres of the line but again they are poor form and so really whispy limbs (Can all be chucked by hand). One small tree has just grown a V around the line and with a little wind will rub on the line, thats what in not sure about. Its all being removed to put a gate in to a horse field. Probly 5 trees in total nothing over 40ft None of the limbs are heavy enough to break the cable.
  18. Its got a twisted look to it, im going to fiind it hard to explain as in 3 wires together then twisted around. But on the pole it does say high voltage? Hope my explaining hasnt confused everything, if it has ignore it lol Arran
  19. Yes, just the one Arran
  20. If the client doesnt know who the provider is how would I find out and also what is the timespan between asking you need a shut down and getting the shut down? Thanks very much for all the comments ARran
  21. Where would I start to get that section shut down? I understand you have to call the electric board and they survery it then shut it down while you work but all my other knowledge is gray as in who to call as in what number etc. Glad im on arbtalk or i would be stumped Arran
  22. Looked at a job the otherday for a friend of mine near some powerlines, well im not sure what they are. They are on like a standard wooden telegraph pole but the line itself is much thicker than a telephone line, On the telegraph pole it says danger high voltage. Im not going to touch the trees which are 4 metres away til i know what the lines all about. Anyone got any ideas what the line is? The line is black or a black outer coating? Arran
