  1. I get pissed off with construction companies holding back monies from me under the cis sub contractors clause, tree and agricultural works is exempt. I was once owed 14 k and no matter how much I explained to them they wouldn’t listen. The county council that we sub for I can not fault with, always prompt.
  2. Harrogate got rid of the committee option, this allows them to get away with listening to reasonable objections, more power to them.
  3. Use a quality 2 pack paint not cellulose. The quality of finish is down to good prep quality spray equipment.
  4. Small bloke syndrome maybe?
  5. It wouldn’t pay for a days digger/operator works in harrogate[emoji23]
  6. Agree Paul, but the nuisance is not to his property its to the highway.
  7. What about this section 211 actual damage?

    Advice

Blimey!! Take in to account time and fuel is it worth it!? I think £70 is cheap.
  9. Kriss, my client has said he will willingly replant a tree even though he is not obliged to, I honestly think the only option is to remove the tree.
  10. Because the tree is still an issue with the wall being pushed.
  11. Well constructed wall Swinny, double brick, there’s no way he will allow a reduction, its frowned upon in Harrogate, bracing is not an option either as the problem is still there.
  12. There’s no room to go out on to the highway. The roots are not a problem in this case its the trunk that is encroaching on to the wall.
  13. Thanks for the input, as Swinny says that tree is in the wrong place, its had its day, the wall was there long before the tree and there I’d no way the wall can be built out on to the pavement devoid highway, my client most definitely doesn’t want to have a gap engineered into his wall to accommodate the tree trunk ( A for security and B for aesthetics)and the tree is also going to continue to increase in size. This particular council is often so inflexible in its ways and often places extra financial burden on householders when not needed.
  14. Good morning all, Can i ask for your opinions on this cherry thats pushing over this estate boundary wall, its in a conservation area and the owner wants to remove it so he can rebuild the structure as to it original condition. Its got a large included bark junction on its trunk that open at the top with debris and vegetation growing from it. I have been asked to withdraw the application straight away. The wall is 15 degrees out of true.

    Advice

Put them in bulk log bags, 133 at £75-£80 a bag delivered should get you near 10 k
  16. F@@king scumbags, it seems to be the norm now if your in this line of business, i hope you get your kit back.
  17. If your thinking of investing in an older tracked timberwolf get a 190, we run a four year old one and its been fantastic, never let me down other than the usual wear parts, its been run nearly every working day for the last four years. Don’t think about an old 230 they’re unreliable.
  18. . Liebherr 914 and shears, clearing willows blocking river flow.
  19. John, using a tourniquet is very effective, what you need to be aware of is to balance its use, on a severe arterial bleed if you don’t slow the bleed then the outcome is obviously not good at all, tighten the tourniquet till the flow reduces, constantly observe the distal ( end extremities of the limb) don’t let the limb go blue or white, slowly ease off if needed. Use direct pressure or celox on the wound it takes 12 minutes for a clot to begin to form. A tourniquet can buy you time until help turns up, don’t be afraid to us one if needed.
  20. Possibly a notofagus nervosa, raoul beech.
