  1. Yep not domestic, clearing river bridges and highways work, plus survey works. All can be done with abiding to the rules.
  2. He’s a handsome boy, much better looking than my oppo. [emoji23]
  3. we try to go the extra mile, chair and footstool [emoji23]
  4. Em, wood chipping are a sought after product now, biomass supply chains can’t get enough of them at the moment. We used to put them in a muck spreader. We sell them by the tonne or cube.
  5. It smarts when he’s hanging off your arm or ass.
  6. clearing some large trees from a bridge log jam.
  7. Is that Pete’s Armistad’s merlo?
  8. Rough Hewn, a good GSD is a deterrent to most people but not all, my present GSD and all the ones that we have had are trained personal protection dogs, don’t risk leaving them out in the yard because the main threat is deliberated poisonings. My farm has various levels of protection ,the dog and me are the last level that’s used, I go out with him on a long lead with a back up device with me. The police are frigging useless in my opinion you’re on you own to deal with it.
  9. If it is the spline rollers they will turn until you put a twig into it, worth a look, it’s piss easy to pull them out, it will save you a bit of extra expense on dropping out the hydraulic oil, by the way it’s very easy to see if your oil is contaminated, just look at it, if it’s at all cloudy then that’s your problem.
  10. I saw 4 Morrison’s utilities blokes in a trench laying a water pipe, nota gap between them.
  11. Yeh you could set fire to it[emoji23]
  12. looked at using the excavator and grab, that with the lorry to haul the stuff would have been too heavy and the client doesn’t want any potential damage to the deck or the stone works, the crane will do it from the road side.
  13. BigJ we took 160 tonne of biomass off a highway clearance this week, at the moment the power system can’t get enough supply, you’re work is therefore of an urgent nature, crack on.[emoji269]
  14. I’m not familiar with greenmecs, check the drive motor/s it could either be the spines or the toothed recess that the spline fits into ( these normal go before the drive motor splines.
  15. No it wasn’t, but I’m sure when this is over we will all be tested. I’ve never had an illness that made me feel so lethargic.
  16. Also the EA, a lot of this wood is felled timber, the EA had told our client that they were going to sail down the river in a punt and chop it up and let it float off! The river below the bridge is 2 foot deep and that pile must be 40 tonnes of trees. The only way to clear that pile is with a crane.
  17. Steve I had a mechanic fixing my tractor at around Valentine’s Day, coughing and spluttering all over me all day long, I got it, I was absolutely knackered, bad cough and tired. Passed it on to my family too. I have a feeling this virus has been around for sometime.
  18. our job for Monday ( if I’m not struck down) log jam thats absolutely humongous, road closure and a crane to lift it out.
  19. I can total understand your logic there, we ain’t doing any domestic work. I think it would potentially piss a lot of people off seeing a tree crew out working whilst they can’t.
  20. Yep a good job but I’ll be done by close of tomorrow I think.
  21. Kriss it’s been closed for over a month, it between Chapel Haddlesey and Eggborough power station. We felled a km of trees in a day and are now chipping it for biomass. It’s a very busy road normally and the detour is a long one.
  22. Our domestic work is drying up, this is going to be the case for the rest of this year I believe. We are fortunate to have a good amount of highways structures work. On the A19 in North Yorkshire today I hope you all survive this and come out the other end in a good position. JC [emoji106][emoji269]
  23. Yep I’ve had several clients cancel planned work, but I’m lucky that We’ve got a highways job to do on the A19, 1 kilometre of trees to fell to allow for rebuilding of a flood damage causeway. I hope you all get through these bad times.
