    Small pro saw

I rate my 261 with 16" bar. Got it Oct 15 and it's worked faultlessly. No heatet handle. Smooth, light and easy to start. I am wary of the bearing issue but the manual says about releasing the chain tension when storing...which i do. No probs -fingers crossed- Bob
  2. Very Much like the idea of Mistajays pallet sawhorse. That's a nice temporary setup that can become firewod when the job is done. Brilliant.
  3. Get field gates blocked all the time. Always for people "going for a walk". When I say there is plenty of parking at a farm cafe 150m away or a pub 750m away they look at you like you are mad.... "we just want to go for a walk" apparently not that far though. Let alone where they are parked being private property. re:moving cars. Told by a ex PC mate of mine not to. It's a potential minefield ..incl criminal damage etc. Not interested in the aggro. Plenty of that around already.
  4. Highly recommended by the chaps from Hereford I believe.
  5. YouTube Stihl Jet Saw...... it's the first choice. Maria Urbina (?)
  6. Bonkers
  7. I got an MS230 of a mate that had worn out anti-vibe rubbers after using something like "Screwfix item no. 5256D " I think having the saw attached encourages people to force the saw through the job.
  8. Here here An old bar and spare chain saves the day.
  9. I use the spray attachement in like this filled with petrol....old toothbrush, mask and goggles.. Clears most things.. Air Tool Spray Kit 5 Pieces | Air Tools | Screwfix.com
  10. Many thanks.... Bob
  11. Will this extra handhold be an advantage for milling (using MS660)?? Bob
  12. Keen Yes. Shame, for me it's a potential 60 mile round trip around the M25 which isn't on my wish list. Firewood...in the stove...smells lovely, burns like fury
  13. Ours arrived in last week. Had a great time this weekend feasting on a new batch of midges/mosquito that have made the most of the sunny weather. Joy in the swooping
  14. don't want to seem unduly harsh or rude.... You'd probably get a better response in the Milling section.
  15. alright.....The tin went back! Got the Friday feeling too early, sorry
  16. The best I have used is some brake caliper paint on an old villiers chainsaw. It can take the heat, dirt and oil. Needs a bit of prep. I borrowed mine but I know it isn't cheap. Don't know about Blue! have seen .....Red, Yellow even Orange (Danarm) i.e. Foliatec Brake Caliper Paint and Engine Lacquer | Demon Tweeks
  17. Check your private mail
  18. That's where I source the wood. A local woodland restoration. thining birch to give established broadleaf a fighting chance
  19. Gatwick area... 15 mins from M23 and same from M25 Jn 8/9
  20. Just saw this ....F... Me! Really? For 16 poles? Pretty sure I can supply poles for a tiny fraction of that. If you can collect? or pay fuel! Bob

    Honda GX25

Second this... If it runs fine and stops it does sound like a fuel issue. Tank vent blocked.
  22. I'm closer Gatwick. Probably too far. I'm sure you'll find someone closer. In the meantime I'll ferret a few out. You've inspired me! ;-) Cheers Bob
  23. I might have some cut ones. I can have a look later.... it all depends where you are... Bob
  24. I've had my X27 a couple of years...paid more than £50... but as others have said, it is far better than it feels it ought to be. I think the fact the shaft is so light and all the weight is in the head makes it a little like swinging a conker. Very little stuff gets past it. And yes it ploughs through stuff my old maul would either get stuck in or bounce off. I think on the basis that i have lent it to mates to try Fiskarss have sold at least 5 more. Should have been on commission. Now if they made chainsaw chains!!!!!
  25. Thanks for all the help. Much appreciated
