I don't really see what empire has to do with defeating the nazi's. Empire building is what Hitler and his cronies were engaged in. The best defense against invading forces is to have good strong relationships with as much of the world as possible. Isolating ourselves is clearly moving in the opposite direction.

The only Hornbeam in existence is the one Stubby lives in. Knock three times on the little door and hide. He has to come all the way down from the canopy. Hours of fun. -
Those photos are taken about 100 yards from my Woodland. Would make quite some extraction vehicle.

Agreed. As difflock alludes to, equality of opportunity should be strived for. Equality of outcome is more than a bit silly and will not end well.

If the ground is not firm I just put a strap around the tree below the cut, feeding around under the foot of the jack. This prevents any backwards or downwards motion.

I've got a Reipal III tree jack, it's the mid size one from Orion Heating. Excellent on trees where you're not sure which way they want to go and for slight back leaners. As with any equipment you have to learn to use it within it's capabilities. Managed to bend mine on a monster Ash. It's so easy to use, you get tempted to try the ridiculous and defy the laws of physics.
