  1. nice pictures, and i can see you view but i'm still hung up (no pun) in buying one, i've always used portawraps and capstans but bollards just look so much neater to use, just going with the times if you know what mean.....out with old in with the new:thumbup: Thanks for trying to save me money, but nothing can save me from the shiny.
  2. cool:thumbup: can't wait now. justin have you heard anything else on the release date of the husky? Thanks Adam
  3. because its shiny:lol: only messing...... being lose theres always the slack issue, and i've lost count of how many times i've needed that little extra tension and not been able to with the portawrap. there handy for light lowering but a fixed bollard offers much more stability and control of the lines.
  4. sorry mate only just realised you had replied to me, the stein duo would be cool to have and comes with its own tensioner anyway but the tension pulley could still be an option, also it makes everything neat when doing speedlines. i've already decided its the stein for me, and now i think the duo will be more beneficial for what work i do, i'm in no need for the winch yet so all is sorted on my behalf ..... thanks everyone. Adam:thumbup:
  5. so what was the hits on the firewood section steve, am very interested if the hits are good. Thanks Adam:thumbup:
  6. nice work tony, should see it out for a few more years yet. was gonna ask what lorry said to!? Adam
  7. its just a maintenance manual rupe all it says is the harken 20st winch MWL is 550kg.
  8. me likey sounds good gonna get stocked up now:lol: na just all confusing i want the 201 to work i really do but all i'm reading are bad posts shame really.
  9. this is why i'm getting frustrated with the husky because of the release issue. and i also have the same problem with my 200t its nearly 10 years old and takes all morning to get warmed up. oh well never mind.
  10. sorry my bad i read the post wrong:blushing: only time will tell with stevens like everything though.
  11. how much is pricey tommer, i thought about that 2 huck but what about the 2014 fuel regs if this new 201 is bad news and the husky turns out even worst i can't see them making another saw before the fuel reg date to compensate the crap they always produce. i love the idea of putting the older carbs on the 200 though. just getting hold of them.
  12. thanks rupe. will just have to see what the future brings like you say its the groundie that makes it what it is really. gonna get myself the rc3001 me thinks can't go wrong with that...... just gonna set the tension with pulleys if need be. then if work comes in thick and need someone good on the ground all the time then i will probably go for the GRCS. When you say it comes with a day training is that just for 1 person? Thanks Again. Adam
  13. now i'm i don't know if i want to wait till the new husky arrives or on the other hand i don't want to buy the 201 and wish i had waited.... Adam
  14. nice one rupe thanks, thinks its always been the stein for me, besides if i had a GRCS i would always be wasting time teaching all the landscape gardeners i climb for how to use it in the event of me being able to afford either the Hobbs, GRCS which is gonna be best to have.(or steves when he gets the thing marketed and reviewed:lol:) Adam
  15. i would love to be able to afford the HOBBS or GRCS but at the minute its not possible, but i really could do with a great bollard that's gonna do the job every time and not worry about swl to much within reason. As me and rupe have said before 250kg is more than enough all day long. i can't see my self needing a winch but like you say oldmills i can think of loads of use week in week out for it to. my opions really would be the rc3001 and just use a 2:1 or 3:1 pulley ratio with it for my line tensioner, or the rc3002 or this one of steves subject to cost really:sneaky2:(tight basket). The tree runner price may be pushing the boat out but i have not got to worry about shipping as i can get it into the country for free, but theres no reviews out there and nobody seems to be able to convince me there worth the money. and being close to price as the Hobbs i think i can say i won't bother:blushing:. does anyone no the price of this new bollard/winch of steves. Adam
  16. anyone ever used the tree runner range before?. they look quite good and cheap:biggrin: Bremswinde Tree Runner RP 1000
