  1. Which would be bought by landlords.
  2. Supply and demand is a factor but a tiny one. It's not even the icing on the cake. It's some sprinkly bits. It would be the major factor on a level playing field but we don't have a level playing field. Fiat money has ruined the playing field. We could have half the population here and land will keep sliding towards people who already own some. They're playing Monopoly. Good point about places like Italy. Not sure what's going on there. Will ponder.

    Chickens?

Aye. No poisoning for reasons you articulate. Besides lead poisoning.
  4. Safe maybe.
  5. Tip site auto links still seem like a good idea, @Steve Bullman?

    Chickens?

Stung tongues my guess. The new mother and survivor chick have been hiding from the sun and magpies in them. 22 on my lap, Stubby.
  7. Quoting a wind snapped sycamore over a shed, fences, a caravan and telephone wires tonight. Hope it’s still windy when I look at it. I’m winning that either way. Bang in my wheelhouse. Ideal job for the Pinkwinch too. He’s a mechanic or machinist so that’s some common ground straight away.
  8. Did a couple of quotes last night with two pieces of Dempsey derived wisdom in mind. That you need to actually be the expert and that giving a price then and there hammers home your confidence. Big cherry to prune. Shape and getting towards the house. Amenity. “Just before we go any further, how sure are you it’s a cherry?” “Well it drops cherries.” Excellent. Look like a moron early doors. Tick. Pulled it back by pointing out I was going to check whether it fruits and whether that’s desirable. Didn’t give a price because I said I was going to go and double check the pruning season for silver leaf etc. That impressed him I think because when I asked him whether he had any opinions on finished size, he said whatever I think. He’d already been critical of next door butchering their cherry to stubs so a moderately tasteful/informed client I think. Anyway. Didn’t look like a total chump but not for want of trying.

    Chickens?

The teenagers doing well. Fast! My mate was trying to catch the white one to clip its wings so it wouldn’t keep flying into his side. He gave up after a fortnight.
  10. Backflip out of bed at five to plead with your pisser for forty minutes. Show me how to live, Pitt the Elder.
  11. Immigrants is an almost complete non sequitur. They're an annoying drip from a torn umbrella. The rain is the problem. Immigrants didn't take us off the gold standard. That was the death knell. We weren't as far round the curve on the graph in the 70s as we are now. Imagine what it'll look like as the curve gets curvier. 8:1. Pffft. See how 80:1 feels.
  12. It wasn't. It was already on the death spiral of bad money and building restrictions. More people speed up the downfall but land prices would still increase with fewer people. The rich would still hoard it because money loses value and the the poor would still pay to rent it because they can't afford to pay a planner to magically make a piece of land legally habitable instead.
  13. I'll let Mick do it. He's thinking of it too.
  14. Bastard. I had a great meme picked out for this.

    Chickens?

Back with the flock. This is why farmers can’t go on holiday. There were five chicks from mother two for a few days. Now there’s only one. Rats probably.
  16. Give an example please.
  17. Eggs is recycling thread titles from Sex and the City intro monologues.
  18. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6m1fqd
  19. Anyway. To tide us over until the witch-hunt results.
  20. It’s eminently possible that the dolescum politicians and would-be dolescum landlords are doing the lying.
  21. Stent in through his arm and back in the workshop by Tuesday. Modern medical miracles. I was driven round the road system by car in the middle of the day. Felt like Idi Amin.
  22. Nobody cares. The world's going down its own tube. We're not even noticing. Love Island is on.
  23. Simon you aggravatable argument magnate. It's a nice story, an offshoot from the main topic and in no way demeans your efforts to tell us something about a different chain of holiday camps.
  24. Have I told the story of my Center Parcs holiday on here before? My mate took his wife and kids there. He keeled over in the villa with a heart attack. His wife called on the way to hospital asking if I could look after the kids while they were indisposed. Flew up there. Gate staff knew who I was before I opened my mouth. Map, keys, note granting me and the kids free dining etc, bag sent to the villa, lift for me straight to where they were (another family looking after them at a restaurant). No hitches with the restaurant staff. Everyone was clued in. Super organised. Huge site with thousands of people and all sorts going on and they were bang on top of it. Anyway, spent a couple of days riding bikes and swimming until the changeover day. Observed that. Another logistical triumph getting the cleaners all through in record time for the weekend customers. Not the sort of holiday I'd plan but I'm well impressed with them as an operation. Not least because they apparently saved my mate's life. They have their own ambulance service. Went round and defibrillated him etc. So yeah, three cheers for Center Parcs. Did I fcuk pay for any activities. The cost of archery or laser tag was probably what triggered his cardiac event.
  25. Now you see, that's useful. The 325 narrow Oregon sharpens with a 4mm file. Is it a standard 325 file holder or a different one?
