  1. Making holes (however in whatever) and, very occasionally, washing up!
  2. Absolutely not worth worrying about. Apologies for the lack of scientific answer you may have been hoping for.
  3. Is there a list of every piece of legislation being considered?
  4. No great shakes but if you do want to spruce it up flake it into a mesh bag (pillowcase will do) and put through the washing machine.
  5. Be fair. He spoke from his own experience and opinion. Nothing wrong there.
  6. Lifeventure : Thermal Mugs Good size. Worth having a couple.
  7. Wrap where you want to cut in tape and cut through the middle of the tape wrap and the rope with a hot knife Leaves pre-taped ends and spreads less). Hot knife is a knife held in a flame or go to a climbing shop and ask them to do it with an electric one.
  8. So restricting the airflow to gain higher temperature and let the ceiling slope draw air through?
  9. I was under the impression that airflow was key. Is it a matter of the enhanced baking effect being more useful than the airflow?
  10. Anything? Finding a lot on carbide and CNC grinding but not what I'm after.
  11. Do you mean the tunnel runs East-West to get the wind blowing in one end and out the other or the tunnel runs North-South and the wind blows into one side?
  12. Looking for some information on cutter shapes, angles, sets etc; what works best for what, crosscutting, ripping, hard wood, soft wood, live wood, dead wood and so on. Reading material on the net or book recommendations. Pictures ideally. "Show us your cutter geometries!" if you like.
  13. By Jove, I think he's got it. Cheers!
  14. I was under the impression that United Equipment was just a reseller. Seen some similar Ransomes and Kubota machines but nothing with the back looking quite so like a dumper truck. If I bother to repaint it I'll stencil FRANKENMOWER on the side.
  15. Can't find any manufacturer's info on it. Some instruction stickers in German. VW engine made before the wall came down! Any ideas what it is?
  16. Similar tale: Old family friend's husband died recently. Lo and behold, an ATV gone in the night within a few days. Area known for rural thieving types. Police as helpful as expected...
  17. If just for moving logs sideways or sideways and downwards how about a roller conveyor as a cheap (but limited) energy saver? Factory clearances?
  18. 3/8" chain. Whatever I go for I'll be leaving the rakers higher.
  19. Would like to improve cutting efficiency on dead wood. Can anyone recommend a good chain and setup please? Current setup is 15" ish bar, quite a round profile chain with low rakers. Cuts green wood well but quite gritty on dead wood. Saw is MS230 so not a massive amount of power. Smaller bar maybe?
