  4. its only a personal thing but i really dont like swedish strops too heavy and no flex, i got a yale with a snap hook and a rope grab simple and does the job for 2 years now
  5. yea mayby i got them bit too tight then, ill give it ago tomoz thanks
  6. im sturuggling getting my treemotion comfy on my legs, grr so annoying, and a swivel is good i use one on my treemotion with a spiderjack, works well
  7. this is how i use my line as well u can use it srt when u real far out on branch walking instead of getting the other end of your rope, but i hate the way a knot tends to get too tight so thats why i like hte sound of a cinch
  8. yea mine lasted about a year BUT it was starting to slip lol, most people on here seem to say 6months, but i recon you can get a little longer, for sap i would say it is better than a knot and def better in the wet weather, wet or dry it performs the same, but like has been said i started with a normal friction saver then got myself a ART friction saver with pulley and it is awsome (in my opinion) most would agree that spiderjack does take a whle to get used too, so give it chance, dont stop using it after a week lol, im converting a trainie lad with us, he hated it in the beginning and now he prefers it over vt that he has at collage!
  9. i think a unicender would be a pain in the ass used as a lanyard personally but i may be wrong
  10. aaah i see who stocks liros then?
  11. liros? what make is that mate? iv had my eye on a cinch for a while i might treat myself, im just trying to get the lightest kit available
  12. good point, mayby 11mm would be better but what do you think wouldbe the best rope for the job?
  13. you boys need to stop being so lazy and get your ass higher up haha
  14. looking through threads trying to find out what the minimum diamiter rope i can get away with on my lanyard, using xtc rope with pulley wheel setup atm, waht do you lads recon is the lightest option thinking off a 10mm rope with a 8mm prussic or even a mechanical device, want to be able to use it as a second little climbing rope like a prussic if that makes sense, trying to get the lightest setup possible out there thanks
  15. hi mate i noticed in some pics on here your using A 10mm liros line with a trango cinch as a lanyard, where abouts did you find the rope and how are you finding it? hope you can help, thanks

  16. damn why cant i get my head around this thing!! could single line not be used with just the hitch, is this a back up? im feeling thick today
  17. hmm still looks like a pain for body thrusting or m i missing somthing?
  18. and i get the impression there is no more body thrusting as such like drt, or spiderjack, wahtever, but it replys on footlocking or using a pantin? correct me if im wrong
  19. this looks interesting is there any video of it in use? it looks hard work going up the line? i dunno
  20. im the same, i do like the idea of these new 11mm ropes that "feel" like a 13mm, maybe poison ivy
  21. thats me, i had a feeling it was you, what the hell you doing over there! glad too hear you are still climbing, you hear much from our lot these days? sorry that isnt to do with this thread, but im after a bollard too, and really fancy the stein fixed bollard, but as iv said before is it worth it compared too the tree runner, grrr
  22. dilz do i know you lol? what is your name iv got a fealing i may have been to risholme with you, im james atkinson btw if your wondering,
