  2. is this possible, i need to make a chip box up, needs to be light and cheap!, iv noticed you can get huge sheets of the stuff, but is it man enough for the day to day loads of chips and logs, feedback quick would be much appreciated. thanks
  3. "bump"
  4. do you recon it performs better than tachyon or poison ivy atree?
  5. viper? whats this mate?
  6. as the title says, i still havnt chosen a new rope after all this time!
  7. anyone know what rope he is using in this video? it looks sooo smooth and not much bounch?
  8. can't get the vid to work
  9. got any pics mate of this set up?
  10. that is exactly what i was looking for thanks a lot mate, i didn't even think of that, i prefer the idea of ataching the single line in the tip of the tree than the base of the tree my ground men have a tendency of cutting ropes!!! so once i get back onto the floor how do i retrieve the line out of the tree after tieing it up there? do i need to attach a throw line to it before i come down, hope I'm making sense again
  11. i agree with this i would love to see a video climbed without a throw line and working with the wrench
  12. can a pantin be fitted when using spikes? i do a lot of removals
  13. yea you can connect straight to the wrench with hand ascender
  14. can't find them could someone link them please for me?
  15. great now i want pics of it set up with spiderjack (cos I'm too tight to bye anything else) and I'm converted
  16. ok last question, do i always have to actor at the base of the tree or is it perfectly fine to actor in the top?
  17. one more thing, on removals i don't lie the idea of when I'm rigging a limb down it smacking into my rope which is anchored to the base of the tree, do i just anchor it in the top to stop this?
  18. big shot would be better than me spending all boring trying to get a throw line in the tree, what about ascending with spikes then? nd why it there a lack of pictures on here lol, 2012.................year of the rope wrench?
  19. yea i understand that I'm just wondering how ascent is if i can't get my throw line in the top, do i use keep choking the rope on my way up, hope I'm making sense and also, ascending long distance with spikes? ahhh set up 2:1? oh i dunno
  20. ok ok ok, this is hurting my head! I'm a seasoned spiderjack user, i don't even own a hitch climber haha, one or 2 questions, first, I'm crap at throw lining, its a fact and my company all know it, how is climbing a tree that i can't just shoot a throw line up into like to climb with the rw, do i have to choke the line as i ascend up, using a pantin? also has anyone actually tried a spiderjack with a rw, if so i would love some pictures, i can see so many benefits to RW its just that first climb up the tree I'm confused over, once the rope is set in the top, its look great, ascent would be easy with frog system or something I'm sure
  21. i think the first one is my fav for sure, a grey one would be cool, go with my stretch airs hahaha
  22. ok here is my opinion, i have used spiderjack since they practically came out, and I'm still using the same one after all these years, a few cams later it is still working as new, its reliable in all conditions i got sick of hitches when it got wet! my work mates are still on hitch's and i laugh at them messing around with different knots, and them not biting, all that stuff, no you can't mount a sj mid line, but then i never really did with a hitch, always kept it on the rope, i would recommend a smaller diameter rope, because my 13mm is not as smooth as i would like, with my lanyard i use vt hitch and pulley on i think 10mm sirus with 8mm poly cord, this is great, very light and cheap, and can be used as a second climbing line, very versatile, and so light i honestly don't feel the difference when it isn't there. if you get a spiderjack just give it a chance, get used to it and you won't look back.............in my opinion
  23. so has anyone used one with these new features yet i have had mine for nearly 3 years now and i fancy a replacement, i just want to know if these new bits will make a difference? oh wait.....February
  24. i know i overload on a daily basis eater travel half hour to the yard or cram it in haha, the other point is double cabs are a lot heavier to start with
