  1. Today we tried to check for any tpo at a address under CBC, the council now say they won't deal with any requests over the phone even just to find if there Is any tpo. It has to be put in writing:( , the other councils in our area are allways helpful & never do this .. Is this usual ?
  2. I've had a bobbin made in place of the Velcro like the design art have come up with , tried afew differant slings till I found the right one & everything seems good , sorry pic was dark b4 & didn't show properly , been trying some stops on Karbs to prevent sj rolling round , just fine tuning wot works & wot makes everything run smooth ...
  3. I'll be intrested to see wot the sling & new bits for spiderjack are like & I've made my own bobbin & tried afew differant slings till I've found one I like .., noticed the spider jack likes to roll free'ly on the karibiner & not sure when you put the rubber stop round the spiderjack / karibiner if this is the way to go .

  10. The Harris shouldn't be loose really az it's from USA , so it's illegal to let one go / or not make a effort to catch it .... & I think certain gov bodies will / do either catch them up or shoot them to stop any cross breeding with other hawks , which I think has happened !!!!
  11. Yes , there's afew loose around country , one has been loose 2 years. near me it came to my yard look at the Harris I have ..
  12. Sorry , mean just the rubber rings for biners, did put some INS tape on karabiner but guess your meant to be able to see all metal to check for flaws or damage so I took it off , The engineer has made a good job on turning the bobbin it's very like the example 'art' showed inphoto's , the Velcro was the only fault with the spiderjack ...
  13. Ye , I've seen the rings 4 sale but not the clips ,
  14. I noticed the mod that art have updated on the spiderjack & after changing the Velcro to dog coller a engineer kindly made this bobbin for me , just have to get some clips/rings to help the karbiners stay .. Havnt seen the clip/stay from the video Joe used for sale any ideas who sells them ?

  19. Doh , thanks honey brothers have them , ps , just replaced bridge would you say you have to put a stitch over knot like original part to comply with Loler etc ?
  20. Looks more padded than original , havnt seen them before are they available in uk yet ??
  21. I spotted your carving the other day you should check out " floyd scholz" work it's amazing ,
  22. Been on the spiderjack & ropeguide for a year or so havnt had any trouble with wet or tree slime jamming it . When sectioning down the pole I usually keep using ropeguide then when it's wider I just stick a prussic on the line az the "jack" doesn't like being forced apart & really needs to be used with ropeguide / pulley set up ... , I have seen on arts website longer guides but no one in uk seems to stock them ,
