  1. went to my local dealers this week and found out they have 100+ 200t in stock... might be of interest to some of you....
  2. A close freind of mine is packing up on the firwood side of things and has offerd me his log pile, whats it worth for the lot. the majority of it is allready in split lengths 2-4foot long so all thats needed is cutting on the sawbench. the pile is about 45ft long 20ft deep and 8ft high
  3. you dont actually get a lot for your money with this on and with only 2 sets of bolsters your quite limited. personally i think its far better to build your own that way you get it exactly how you want it. heres one of mine i made only a few weeks ago, (more pictures in my thread 'new trailer') cost next to nothing to make as this one was mainly made out of scrap!

    Axes?

oschenkopf (oxhead) very well made german axes, all the stihl ones are actually made by this company. they have a very extensive range, i really want to get one of their competition racing axes but at £400 it seems a bit steep.
  6. i rekon my insurance company have made a mistake with mine after reading all of yours... im 25 and am paying 180 for my tipper, 150 for my land rover 127, £60 for my old mg all fully comp.
  7. ECOPLUGS cant remember who dmakes them. got a couple of boxes from saltex a couple of years ago and seem very effective. and the bonus is the client can actually see that treatment has been carried out...
  8. what a good video, enjoyed watching that, thank you.... really like looking an all the old machines and the size of that timber...
  9. thats ok, not married. then if or when i might think about signing my life away the rust and machines were there first.....
  10. i think i must be a long term carrier of this. tractors, implements, stationary engines, logging saws.... anything cast iron and rusty:biggrin: ive got a container load of rusty bits that 'might come in usefull one day'...
  11. i might have to steal this dumper idea, i have a spare old 3 ton machine in the bushes and a nice 20000lbs hydraulic winch in the workshop.....
  12. all depend on what type of deafness it is, whether it was caused through an accident thet damaged the inner ear or if it was noise related or naturally occouring
  13. if i look at my old smiley transit whilt really drunk it still wouldnt look like a 4x4 iveco no matter how much id want it to look that awsome:001_smile: and i AM half blind....
  14. yep, it was the bmc mini 9/16 (bmc a series 950 engine) then the nuffield 4/25 (1500 engine) then the leyland 154 (same as nuffield 4/25) and yes i am a subscriber to classic tractor and tractor and machinery.... i may have to find somewhere to post the photos of my stationary engine collection, and then my coolection of vintage farm/logging machines and tools (last count there were 70odd cross-cut saws in the container)...
  15. im going to have to erect another barn if i get another, ive now got 2 BMC mini's, a leland 154, a massey 135 and now the major. did have seven leylands (384x2, 270x3, 272, 245) at one point but theyre long gone now and a long list of grey fergies and a couple of E27N majors. thinking of something with a winch now...
  16. you got it in 1...
  17. Picked up a 'new' toy this morning, should be a good'un. runs well just in need of a cometic restoration, needs a bit of work but nothing major... has spent the last couple of years running a sawbench.
  18. a good freind of mine who i use for the more 'involved' climbing jobs los half his hand on a mcconnel saw bench many years ago so only has his thumb and 2 fingers on one hand and hes one of the best climbers ive ever seen.... you just have to adapt to use what youve got to work with...
  19. Just seeing if anyone on here has any form of disability and does it affect your your work/how you work???? i use the word disabled loosly and i dont mean to offend anyone by asking. i myself am completley blind on the left side, makes work a little awkward sometimes getting hit by things and the like but in a way i suppose it makes me that little more aware of my surroundings...
  20. Thats no landy, doesnt deserve to wear a green oval!!!! (same goes for those horrid sport and evoque thingys....)
  21. This is why written clear quotes are so important, to you and the customer. I allways write what has been asked of me and the price, then have the customer check it and sign it that way there can be no confusion and any 'while your here' will cost them extra...
  22. there is actually quite a few shelves and boxes, its just a case of putting every thing back at the end of a long hard day when i could just do it tomorrow.... or if i didnt have to use it the next morning (its close to hand where it is) this building is just for work related tools, i also have a 90 foot workshop automotive and metalwork and a 50x40 wood workshop... so trying to keep everything tidy would take forever...
  23. have done now (i think), new to all this, dont know what im doing...
  24. i opened the grab up today and have some more photos, stihl 880 for scale open its about 5 1/2 feet
  25. as i said ive tried to keep it tidy, just doesnt last... will put eveything in order every couple of months just dont have the time/cant be a r s e d to keep it that way all the time
