  1. May I ask why you’ve left the strings long on the SG- I can’t even look at them! nice strat BTW- it was a toss up for me between a strat and the ibanez I posted above- think the strat will be next- after the Gibson Les Paul junior I have my eye on!
  2. Buzzards can take hens- I’ve just started keeping hens myself (only 3 at the mo) but the only way I really felt safe keeping them was to build a totally enclosed run with an 8” board buried below ground. Granted it’s only a 3m x 3m run so much easier but I think I’d do the same even for a large run/ fit and forget...
  3. Battery’s? Yeah I know- you can’t do proper work with batteries- but if even 30% of your work can be just as easily done with a battery saw, you’ll have 30% less fumes, you’ll probably save £500 in fuel every year. Put that towards Aspen for the rest of your work, win win?
  4. Yeah I have a Korean built RG270dx which I bought in 2002- thought the neck was thin on that but this new prestige model with 5 piece neck is thinner still-17mm at 1st. I get a weird RSI thing in my left hand- slight pins and needles etc after playing for long periods but it’s not so bad with Ibanez necks for some reason.
  5. And my Martin 000-16GT.
  6. Just bought this Ibanez RG 652 Prestige, with a nice Ash body and Birdseye maple neck, RGs are normally considered hard rock/metal guitars, but can get all sorts of tone from this, it’s beautifully versatile with the DiMarzio pickups and build quality is absolutely superb- well chuffed.
  7. She sounds like a barrel of laughs!
  8. Why over double for an extra man?
  9. Even if you only tow 3.5 ton. Surely it’s better to use a downrated larger truck than squeeze the life out of a 3.5t truck. I assume there is no need for any operators license etc either...
  10. It can be hard to switch out of work- and that’s probably a good thing as ultimately it means we enjoy our jobs and holidays aren’t the be all and end all which might be the case if your cooped up in an office or factory all day. However I do try and have time away with wife and daughter and they really needn’t be abroad, some of the most relaxing holidays we’ve had have been less than 100 miles away from where I live in Devon. We go to Dorset, Cornwall, next week we’re off to Exmoor area. For me the the long car journeys to airports- airport queses, (hate flying too) general hassle and organising of foreign holidays takes some of the joy away from the occasion.
  11. I want to see Fleetwood Mac live but cant afford too! £800 a ticket last time we looked.
  12. Funny before I read your post- I was thinking Bon Jovi were a brilliant live band- Nickleback we’re supporting them and they were really good too.
  13. Kylies done some good songs and I like her as a personality But I’d agree- better on the radio than live, live music certainly shows up who can sing and who can’t.
  14. Indeed, I think 6 cylinder is a must if doing hauling. Amazes me what HP is being squeezed out of tiny (some 3 cylinder) engines with modern tractors, probably fine with light work- but the 6 cylinder will have the grunt on hill hauling over equivalent HP tiny turbocharged engines.
  15. Yeah, the Same Silver would probably be the model for the OP to go for- nice 6 cylinder in it. Mine is only 86hp but it’s like a pocket rocket, lad who works with me also drives a NH t6.140 and reckons the NH slows on hills just as much if they both had 8 ton behind them.I believe the zetors have Deutz engines in them now too.
  16. Freya riding was on earlier doing Castles- which I think is a great song- nice voice- what you may not realise is Daddy Pig is her dad!
  17. the Glastonbury lineup 2019 is crap, wouldn’t really want to see any of them really. I’ve never been to Glastonbury and never want to but happy to flick through it on the TV!
  18. Couldn’t agree more- think she forgot to switch her microphone on for one thing.
  19. My experience with Same tractors has been excellent, It would take a lot to turn me away from SDF tractors now, I despair at local farmers spending considerably more on their new New Holland’s but I struggle to see where the extra money actually goes as they’re forever requiring dealership attention- nasty plasticy things too now-yuk. iv no experience with the newer zetors but if they’ve improved their earlier failings there’s no doubt you get a fair bit of tractor for your money- or Kubota?http://www.tunstalltractors.com/shop/product/3078/Zetor/Forterra-135/ This chap always seems to have reasonably tidy selection in stock...
  20. Suppose- but for £230 is it really worth quibbling, recently I had a £1800 bill to service tractor and a few other bits done to it- it was more than I was expecting but I wasn’t there so I’m hardly in a position to start challenging the invoice. I just can’t really see what he’d achieve by asking a breakdown- the bill isn’t going to suddenly become less- if he doesn’t trust a workman enough to not try and pull a fast one then really the only option is to get everything agreed at quote stage and any further costs agreed before they go ahead?
  21. Agree I always break an invoice down as saves them asking! If they quibble after that then it’s more of a a case of distrust! In eggs case though and for such a self explanatory small invoice I can’t really see what the customer hopes to achieve.
  22. That sounds pretty special!
  23. I’m just glad I don’t live up north?
  24. Fair enough if you can get them that cheap- but that is rock bottom, micro digger hire starts at £65, never hire 3 ton as have my own, but should be between £80-100 plus delivery if only for one day. Then fuel on top. I’m surprised anyone can pay for the machines let alone make a living at the prices your getting them for.
