Yup. You could see it opening and closing in the strong winds a few weeks ago. It let go when we had a sudden squally shower come through. I was only about 20 metres away from it when it just cracked and went over.

A very large twin stemmed ash which decided to shed a stem this afternoon. And a really nice unmanaged Hazel coppice. I've been told it hasn't been touched with a saw for 60+ years.

Bracket fungus found on several European Spindles on the shoot i was at today. Was in tiers of 2 to 18. And ranged between 2" and 10" wide. -
Gonna get it stuffed as not much meat on it.

Its normally a prized bird but at crichel the only prized birds are the Reeves cross.

Was shooting as a guest gun today and made the most of it. One of the drives we shot 44 and i had 23 of them for 31 shots. Shot a tighty whitey though:blushing:. No need to pay the 50 quid fine though.

No fbs present. The root plate was completely rotten and tree had broken in 4 parts when it hit the bridge. -
