  5. we were hiring a valtra t160 with a roof mount crane and a 32 inch hiezo hack for a fair price a day.. but by heck can you nock out some work with one.. we had 3 tractors hauling chip away from it and kept us rushed of our feet all day.. my 5 ton grain trailer was filled within 5 minits if he was right on the material
  6. weve just had a 32 inch whole tree chipper clearing up from our cricket bat willow harvest were they only want the first 15 foot of the truck up to the first branch.. the whole tree chipper made a massive job take a fraction of the time... but this wasnt a static machine like in the vid...

  13. any chance of winching it to a nice easy access point ? if im beeing honest i wouldnt know were to start....
  14. i did my cs30/31 assment with a 353 witch is like a slightly lower powered 346xp.. try looking at a 353 or a ssecond hand 346xp (with the silver side) if ur budget could be uped slightly to 480 you can get a brand new 550xp which replaced the 346xp. better to buy a new saw as you know its history.
  15. done matey
  16. same here in milton keynes.. here at the parks trust we have to apply for permission to put signs in our own parks if there over a certain size
  17. hour tops... but to someone such as my old boss its time he could be starting a bigger job. ie travel time to the job.set up time, clearing up time, then travel to the next job and also most tree surgeons have second person with them so there wages has to come from somewere to. i am no buisness man,but i have future plans to set up for my self. and i think i would have the same ideeas on pricings if i was trying to run a buisness myself.
  18. we almost daily take out horse chestnuts here in milton keynes with bleeding canker.. its a shame as there were so many planted 20 odd years ago. id love to learn abit more about pests and dieases. is there such thing as a day coarse on the itroduction to pests and deiseses?
  19. no i was refering to when i was on the domestic matey. my oll boss wouldnt do anything for less than 120+vat otherwise he was losing money.. i personaly dont do any hedgework if i can help it
  20. i still do my own work.. and no we are not the council, we are a non profit organisation. the milton keynes council have there land and we have ours.. which is all the major parks.. when i worked on the domestic side of things 120 would be the bottom rate for anything..
  21. 120+vat here.. a tree surgeons rate.. i am not a gardener
  22. would be sad to see themm all die of.
  23. id like to imagine all the ash in hedgerows still alive
  24. short term boost for any1 in the tree world
