  4. Have a 2002 hilux single cab anyone know any firms in yorkshire that convert to alloy tipper ? how much the conversion would cost thanks
  5. We do lots of feather edge fencing big tip always set top and bottom rail level with top and bottom of boards and on top fit capping rail if you do not set rail to top or bottom rails will warp in the sun same with pale fence never set top rail less than 4 inch from top
  6. Worked in local saw mill for 14 years double stenner band saw all soft wood we had cast iron pot belly stoves for our heat belive me we could get the stoves glowing white with heat from the soft wood
  7. good job but just a tip if you ever do any more fix the top rail level with top of fence and same with the bottom rail this will stop the boards warping in the sun plus you can nail the weatherd capping to top
  8. wicks have them in stock great value grafters and double head spades
  9. we use a 6 inch post hole borer on a bob cat great on large sites with access:thumbup:
  10. do loads of feather edge fencing use 4.2 d rails put the round edge of the rails to the side that shows they cost me £4.50 each and are 4 x 11/2 use the 5 inch wide feather edge board 78p 1.8 mt use thornton fencing huddersfield ps always set your top rail to top of boards and fix weatherd capping looks great and use galv nails
  11. got well stitched up this year by yellow pages spent £1400 on a larger add and when the book arrives the book has got half the size and add is no bigger last time they get any money from me
  12. yes mine holds just over 2 builders bags so i tell them the same nearly sold out already done 35 loads lots of new customers with shiney new stoves
  13. I just tell my customers they get a level load of logs on a hilux single cab all hardwood seasoned £90 none of this weight or cubic crap

  15. Not been able to do anything all week snow 2 foot deep got sum log orders but can not get to my yard 6 foot drifts in wood first time in 30 years been unable to get in yard looks like a long hard winter on bread and water
  16. Put the whole bird in cassarole dish with a 1/4 pint water put a onion inside the bird put carrots in the water around bird season and cook slowly for around 2 half to 3 hours the stock is fantastic and the meat falls of the bird
  17. I worked in a saw mill for 11 years ash was not our favorite wood had some close calls from time to time has a regular tendency to spring when been sawn so am always on my guard when we fell ash seen it split like this on the saw bench lot of times

  19. Looks like it could be quite good viewing enjoyed last nights show proper loggers
  20. now you know why they only paid you £30 a day and had you working 10 hours a day and have now lost 2 lads in 2 years when they have just done the 2 year course at askham with no pay when at askham anyone can undercut but you need to keep your staff happy and at the end of the day safety comes first in this game
