  1. Hopefully they don't want it out purely as a result of bracket appearing, that could probably be worked around...
  2. Certainly looks that way, nice example of guttation on hispidus...
  3. Lovely stuff, cheers for that
  4. All three down as rdl in Rogers (2006 I think), must be out of date now though. Where might one find an up to date list?
  5. Oh well, nearly right, eat away then!
  6. Looks like Hericium cirrhatum (not sure that's spelled correctly, tiered tooth), a red data list species I think, along with the other two Hericiums. Nice find, and edible, although you really shouldn't!
  7. Some nice looking images there perhaps this nice little time lapse will fit in this thread...
  8. Indeed, and a real shame that a book has gone walkabouts. I'm surprised more people don't make use of it...
  9. Can't remember whose it is, but; Don't start an argument with idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
  10. Seen it on J regia, relatively common round my way. Tends to end in branch tear-outs and hollows after a while in the bigger trees. Not really seen it much on younger trees though.
  11. Whatever you do can we see some close up cross section pics of the stem and trunk? And any fungi. Pretty please, with a cherry on top?
  12. I wondered that, profile says norwich which I thought an odd though not unheard of location...
  13. A much nicer fungi when clean and moist.... ....I must get out more!
  14. Hmmm, something a little unexpected perhaps? Looks the wrong shape for resi, maybe a pfeifferi. I can't see a lateral attachment to the trunk, could it even be a sneaky well dusted lucidum?
  15. Sounds like a challenge A very sporey one. Applanatum?
  16. Definitely merip, worthy of close inspection on a red oak...
  17. Why did my post in this thread just end up here: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=48849 ?
  18. There we go, WAS available at a good price even if you had to buy a kindle with it. Only 6 on amazon now, over 600 quid!
  19. I thought this was available as an book thing? Can't seem to find it though...
  20. Yeah come on Rob! Give us a slice! What do you reckon David?
