  1. Feel free to hate them, not a good reason to shoot them out of a tree though. What if you damage the cambium!? :sly:
  2. Definitely not fusipes. Could be a Psathyrella, or Coprinus is a possibility...
  3. I think polunea and mutabilis are one and the same...
  4. Id suggest Armillaria. Excessive nitrogen (and probably watering too?) making soil conditions favourable for the honey, the wet dark decay at the base on a monkey puzzle is typical. As for the white stuff, can't see/don't know...
  5. A very handsome fungi I've got no reference books to hand, but would suggest Pholiota mutabilis and await David's correction!
  6. Perhaps best not name sharers of copyrighted material in public! mind you, could be any number of Phil's...
  7. Would you mind elaborating about the way they absice please? How does it differ from other species? Cheers...
  8. I think it is found on cedar. Could also be Coniophora puteana, diagnosis of ill health in trees has it as liking cedar and other sp, and also fire damage...
  9. Rhytissma? Seen plenty in Essex...
  10. Some lovely shots. What is the last one and the one on yew? Its not dyers is it?
  11. Thank you, and asking Barchams is great idea
  12. Anybody, at all?!
  13. It does indeed, I've not seen that many...
  14. Fswdt looks like the one for now, d&p another time. Cheers for the replies
  15. Cheers Paul, I shall look into that...
  16. I really wanted to make that trip, was secretly hoping someone would drop out and Id get an email :sly: next time maybe, looked like a good day...
  17. ? More of a large shrub/small tree...
  18. Still in leaf obviously but here she is one month on. The leati brackets have all merged to form a solid lump, and the resi is gone, possibly cut off. Strange as a couple of small epicormic branches have gone from just above head height over the path as well, why cut off one fungi but not the other? The mind ponders....
  19. Both is a little pricey right now, think I'll go for FSWDT unless someone convinces me the book which is twice as much is twice as useful or good! Cheers:thumbup:
  20. Do you know? Its bugging me!
  21. sloth

    A question...

So what does cause the 'accident'? Come on Rob!
  22. Bump bump...
  23. Anybody?
  24. I know the thoughts regarding pruning walnut in full leaf etc, what about roots? Do you think they'd bleed in the same way as branches? When do you think would be the best time to prune them? Thoughts experiences and opinions welcome thanks!
