Im just looking for something I can put in in the morning and talk normaly during the day. I have seen some well over the £200 mark!! They appeal as I can demo, knock saw/chipper etc to tick over, talk, then resume work.

How does it feel, look? is there any movement lateraly? does it have stiff points when rotating it? Have you got a Stihl gauge, which checks the gauge of rails, you can use this to check whether the rails have been pinched. Try running a chain off the engine unit? drop a NEW chain into the groove and pull by hand, you might feel where the tight spot is

Has anyone had any experience of custom fit ear plugs with filters in? Im pondering whether to invest in some specsavers charge around £130 per pair. They tailor make them to suit the end users environment.

Boots are vey much a preference, I prefer Haix Trekker boots, but anything meeting En345-1 S3 Class 1 are what your looking for.

Gypsies are different to pikies. our tree side has just short of 1m turnover, we dont use saws at that rate!
