  1. If I read you correctly you are saying a similar sort of thing to diff lock. Mrs Egg will tell you a scientific reason of why this is not the case. Way over my way of thinking. That's why she does the science and I push shite up hill for a living!
  2. Where do you get your facts from, that the pill did not cause massive increases in cervical cancer? Mrs Egg is a scientist that did a lot of studying on this subject in the late eighties. Lots of the evidence that was gathered pointed to the pill being a major cause of cervical cancer. I can't go into it much further this evening as Mrs Egg is in bed, but I'm sure she can add a lot more to this subject.
  3. My Jeep is in need of new tyres. The ones that are on it ATM are 225/70/16. Can I get away with putting 225/75/16 on it? Only ask has I can get 4 A/T for reasonable money.
  4. Got plenty of mates working over in Germany ATM. So that answers that one. I personally have worked all around Europe in the past. Granted many years ago.
  5. Around about 15 tonne of timber iirc.
  6. Chris Gagen on here might be your man. He's on the Essex/Suffolk border
  7. Oh and don't forget that you don't get paid when you are sick or on holiday. I had eight days off work recently with a painful infection (laid in bed for most of that time). This week Mrs Egg and I are having a weeks holiday (these things are a rarity). So in the last month or so I have had just short of three weeks off work. No work no pay!
  8. Working for ya self is quite easy! Go out, find the work and put at least a quarter of what you earn to one side. This will just cover tax and break downs, if your lucky! The rest of what you earn is going towards running vehicles, plant and all those other things you didn't think would crop up. With a bit of luck you might even to be able to pay your self a wage. Good luck!
  9. Is this not a massive over reaction? First it could be woodchip now it could be mites (chiggers). If you are so worried about it take the kids to the doctor. Stop reading what it could be on the net and get the facts from a professional. Hope the kids get well soon. All the best. Egg.
  10. Or get a litre off a local farmer:sneaky2: it goes along way a litre!
  11. You are probably right Hodge! Although I do, from time to time lend stuff out. I also use a mates trailer now and again. Either way, if any thing got damaged it would be repaired at our own cost.
  12. He's not a friend of mine, just some bloke that was delivering logs to a house I was doing a job at. I got chatting to him and he was telling me about his processor.
  13. Haha. Not if ya want to get on with natives. Speaking Spanish was where the peseta £££ was at!
  14. Not seen one in the flesh! But I was talking to a bloke in Attleborough last week who has got one, he said he was getting along well with it.
  15. Good luck with finding work out in Spain. I worked out there in the "good old days" do you speak any Spanish ?
