  1. i used to work at director level for a rather large action sports brand,,, i was responsible for 47 countries and spent over 240 days a year traveling. i was responosibe for turnover in excess of $240million in 2 years i saw my wife for a total of 13 1/2 weeks.. on the plus side i got to see some amazing countries and i earnt good money, however, i worked my back side off, the company gained on average an extra 3 working days a month free just from me gaining hours on the plane hopping time zones etc.. it became apparent VERY quickly that the lifestyle/ job was not sustainable without something giving in, wether that be marriage or health or both..so i did my time and we got out... now i'm learning something new...trees have to say of all the things i've done over the years i haven't had this much fun since i was in my early 20's someone told me, "look at what you have, not what you don't have, and appreciate that you are always in a better position than someone else, look after number one and those close to you, anything else aint worth dyeing for..."

  16. hey dean, no worries, each to their own ,, just offering my opinion, no offence intended,, in my "previous" career i relied on iphone, it did the job brilliantly and meant that i could actually be ANYWHERE on the planet and act as if i was sat in the office... and i'm not exaggerating. last summer i speant many a day sat a mile offshore in teh boat fishing, answering emails, taking calls etc etc as if i was sat at my desk...
  17. in between newquay and perranporth, near goonhavern

  21. would be really interested in this but not on a BH,,,, not going to get me driving anywhere on a BH.....
  22. "everyone got one because it was the only one Good phone but the camera is a MASSIVE let down" i disagree with both those comments,,, there were plenty of smart phones about for years before the iphone came out, just no one did it quite that way before,, and whilst the camera is missing some pixies and zoom, it's certainly not a massive let down, we all knew the pixie count and lack of zoom etc before we bought, so it was no suprise, it actually takes perfectly usable photo's. if you want amazing photo's by a camera, if you want a phone, by a nokia, if you want a gadget that does emai, camera, phone, gps, music, movies, games, apps, calculator, dictaphone, video recorder, etc etc etc buy an iphone....
  23. have been using iphone for 2 years,,, old job i traveled 240 days a year, the iphone was bloomin fantastic and served regularly as my only computer on trips, as for battery life, if you turn off bluetooth and wifi you have no problems, I charge mine every 2 days or so, the secret is to let em run dry when you first get one, then charge fully, then run dry etc etc, there is a case now that has a battery built in, it drains that first before the phone battery, now you can get 4 days out of one, there is also an app called accura that optimises the battery usage and increases life by upto 50%. as for the camera, ok it's not the best, but it's perfectly good enough, and does video too, use it all the time... the naysayers are the ones that havent used them for any length of time...
  24. oh, and thanks for the welcome..
