  1. I can't believe what I've just read in the news apparently a group of Muslims where protesting near Hyde park burning a large poppy:cursing: I can't write on here how I truly feel about this! Hope I haven't put a dampener on such a good thread I'm just shocked it can go on in our country shame all those students didn't head down there and put there anger into something more worthwhile
  2. I use an invisible one all the time mate especially on takedowns:lol:
  3. Was builders, road workers all around us and couple of old men all sat in motors all work stopped and all wearing poppies nice to see people showing respect

  6. I swear if you support the toon it's the same as supporting England mate, to be honest I'm not massively into football but get well into it at times it more about the fans I think especially at the matches. I do hate the way the media make out toon fans think were a massive club and expect trophies we just want exciting football like the Keegan days

  7. I know mate it's typical! Don't talk to me about grey hair people keep asking me if I've got paint in me hair haha

  8. I did hear of a lot of chip being imported on the Tyne for the powerstations so reckon there will be plenty of firewood coming in too? I will ask the lads over that way see if they can shed some light on it
  9. Don't mention that swearword teething please mate I'm dreading it! Might have to do a bit of working away:sneaky2:

  11. You will know more than Me mate I'm not a forester at all just keep hearing round my way the woods are being over worked
  12. this is like husky v stihl:lol:
  13. my posts in thread mean to come across as an outsiders view and maybe questions as i want to start log supplies next year:001_smile:
  14. like i said mate i might have it wrong but i have seen and read that stock from our seas gets expoted out then back to us at a higher price its only an un educated view of mine just what i have seen and read but if its true what is the problem in buying timber from abroad if it saves our woods from being over thinned? you could argue some woods are empty and some are left to their own devices which lets people like hama etc enjoy their side of things so we have a good balance?
  15. And like other people said we already import allsorts and i might also be wrong about this but doesn't our seas get fished then imported to other countries only to be imported back to us:confused1:
  16. haha get in:lol: In regards to importing I cant see a problem Iam in no way an expert on the forestry and log side of this industry but many of my associates are struggling to timber for logs and I've for estates that own woods and have told me they are taking timber from woods they shouldn't be:confused1: I know we have un-managed woods which might balance it out but if our woods are being stripped bare maybe its better for them if we imported?
  17. ne bother mate was the same here for a while when i moved house waiting for the broadband to be connected. You should be ok with logs I reckon, all the log suppliers seem to be crying out for wood and almost everyone i talk to is installing a log burner so much so I've stopped giving my timber away stocking up for next year:001_smile: if it does well itl be my xmas fund for the twins
  18. There was a good thread on this yeti mate can't remember what it was called just type marketing in the search box should find it
  19. I would not have noticed the bulges unless i read your thread last night mate cheers:001_smile: I'm learning from you all the time I know its pretty basic but I've spent all my years learning to climb and fell and neglected this side of our industry its much appreciated Hama:thumbup:
  20. My mate queued up for an hour and a half at midnight also took the day off to play it:001_rolleyes: Ive been winding him right up:001_smile: he's self employed and always complaining hes skint:sneaky2:
