  1. I was trying to be nice Steve haha With regards to vehicle insurance I was asked for my proffesion or something similar I reckon at times could we be nailed for picking horticulture as apposed to agriculture or whatever the company decides which category we come under?
  2. Haha would look good in my cave though Mick I'd pay 3 chickens and a goat
  3. Aye does tend to be only other arborists who know what it means! Does it wind anyone else up when you are filling in insurance things etc and you have to choose gardening as your business:cursing:
  4. The two lasses I've worked with were pretty hot too I reckon we would of got more work done if they were yetis haha
  5. Aye spot on mate
  6. That's awesome! Stuff the garden I'd have that in the house haha

  15. You are the man I'm gonna buy a generator now for that very reason:lol:
  16. I've worked with a couple of women groundsmen and they were spot on:001_smile: the only thing I had was sometimes if I thought they were struggling lifting something or climbing rough banksides I never knew wether to help incase I offended them if you know what I mean? But that's just me being soft:blushing:
  17. Think our stove was 6 quid and the refils are 4 for a tenner. I was spending a tenner a day on crap food:thumbdown: it was funny to see the look on a builders face the other week when he came to ask me to shift my van and I was cooking an omelette in the van:lol:
  18. A climber can only go as fast as his groundsmen. Pay a good groundsmen good money and hel be worth every penny. When you have a good climber who drops brash in a decent manner and fast groundies who get rid of it fast everything runs smooth and everyones happy. Also a lot of the time the grounds are working harder because good climbers are fit, climb clever and enjoy it:001_smile: Our team works that way Liam with two climbers and a groundy but were lucky. Ideal world situations would be all climbers to share the roles but some lads just don't like climbing but are awesome groundsmen:thumbup:
  19. Haha like it finally an important thread:thumbup: we having a little gas camping stove in the van mate meaning fresh coffee and last nights bolognaise getting fried up at bate time:thumbup1:
  20. Haha one of my twins constantly thinks he in his bouncer so holding onto him for a bit is like a good workout!
  21. It is a wonder why we feel as though we need the gym at times isn't it Mike haha
  22. As above the cat v photocopier translation had tears rolling down my face the dog in boots done the same for the wife haha thanks for cheering my day up Justin:)
  23. That's the trouble you never know what to buy! For three month one bit of kit could serve you well but then due to other contracts could sit for six. Were just building kit up slowly and struggling along wrecking our body's while we decide what to buy haha I like the idea of the arb trolley but fancy getting someone to make one for cheaper
  24. Is it a crap term or is it that different people have a different view of what a crown clean is?
  25. I don't understand either maybe me and johnny are "lazy arbs" but I think a crown clean is removing deadwood, crossing branches and anything dangerous! Which is good practice, What is wrong with that? If I get asked to carry out a crown thin I remove these factors first instead of just taking a percentage of each branch to comply with the thin.
