  1. evening all, i after picking some brains, i bought a L200 on monday and half way home it started to over heat, after checking the water pump and thermostat i suspect the head gasket needs replacing as on running up to temp there is steam coming from the injector seal and the glow plug. The guy i bought it from has offered £300 towards the repair or a full refund. any thought? repair or refund? cheers guys tom
  2. try killgerm.com, i use them alot they are really helpful and a reasonable price.
  3. nfu just double my premium, i went with "trust" and they have got it down to below what i was paying nfu last year.
  4. a rodenator is only to be used to collapse the warrens and not not kill rabbits, you have to the best of your knowledge clear all warrens first,
  5. in my experience of rabbit fencing, fencing only won't keep rabbits out the are determind little things. the most effective way to protect and area is to install a well constructed rabbit fence with rabbit drop boxes in various spots along the fence line as a perminant controll method. I serve about 20,000 acres fenced and trapped like this and it works superbly. cheers
  6. if you want to do a uni course then surely you are doing to increase your earning potential? if so then you should pay for it, why should the tax payers pay for you to make more money? if i want to increase my earning then i invest in more kit and i don't see the tax payer paying for that! just to add my wife is going to uni to do a degree in nursing next year which we will have to fund.
  7. i especially like the extra rubber toe cap on mine for that added protection.
  8. i have a pair of these JahtiJakt Premium Boots - Boots - Premium Boots and accessories - Arctic Outdoor Clothing Camouflage Clothing, Winter Outdoor Clothing, Hunting Gear and Accessories excelnt value for money, had mine 6 months and with a little looking after and cleaning and use the wax they provide they look good as new. I wear mine every day i mean every day. put them on 6 in the morning to walk the dog work all day 8/10 hours walk dog when i get home, so comfy.
  9. yep 5 miles got to love it, just quoted a job for 10 kilometers! should keep me busy for a few weeks
  10. i use a single furrow plough for getting the trench for the netting to sit in. As for straining i don't think there is a commercially available strainer i made a what is effectivly a boundry bar, you can only buy them designed for stock fencing, mine is made out of a couple bits of angle iron with a couple of eyes welded on and use a couple large ratchet straps the strain the netting then staple it to the posts. hope that makes sence. i'll put a pic up tomorrow as i'm currenlty doing 5 miles of the stuff.
  11. hi all, does anyone run a postknocker on a unimog? i and a agri fencing contractor and am looking to upgrade my kit. currently run a 25hp compact tractor and knocker which works well for rabbit fencing but and starting to do alot more stock and deer fencing requiering larger post and my little tractor struggles. I also thought that with a pick up bed i would not need to run 2 vehicles quite so often. Any advice or thought on which model and spec (it needs 3pl and hydraulics) would be greatly appreciated i'm new to this mog thing. and also i just fancy one instead of a normal tractor. cheers guys
  12. hi, i use 1and1.co.uk for my web hosting, you can use any of there templates copy and paste you pics and type straight on the web page as you build super simple. price wise, to buy your website name ranges from £1.99-£9.99. and depending on how many pages you want depends on how much it is per year. if your thinking about a web page take a look it is so simple even i managed to do it and i don't do computers. cheers

  18. good evening all not sure where to put this, i shall shortly be quoting for a job and as part of the job there will be a lot of trees to remove and possibly grub up the roots of felled and some existing stumps and roots. There will be about an acre of mixed what i would call medium density trees to remove. the site is near thetford norfolk, just putting some feelers out to see if there was anyone on here that felt they have experience and machinery required. I understand a site visit would be needed but as i say putting some feelers out, the project will need pricing within the next couple months and taking place april/may time. I hope this makes sence if you have any questions or would be interested in pricing when the time comes please let me know PM on here or email [email protected] or call 07590013370 cheers guys tom
  19. deer fencing is not the expensive when you look at it over the whole life span, will last a good 15 years with small amounts of regular maintance, all the other solution are very short term in comparison. My buisness is wildlife fencing (rabbit, stock, deer) for large organisaitions bot goverment and private (charity) we have looked at all solutions and nothing has come close in value for money and fit ofr purpose. The plastic fencing is a poor solution due to as mention previously deer and others eating it and gettng tangled in it resulting in injured animals. tom
  20. thanks for the replys, i can't get my clutch fixed untill mid/end of next week. i've tried shb hire price not bad £245 for the week (would have been worth it) but would involve driving to derby to collect. cheers again guys
  21. 22. what sort of gloves are you after? what do you want to use them for (apart from tree relaited stuff) for warmth, protection. i use a few different types i am currently using Viper special ops, VIPER SPECIAL OPS GLOVES GREEN - Gloves & Hats - Viper - Tough Kit for Tough Situations (which i can supply) gloves they are nice and tight fitting and tough and a reasonable price. Have also been using my old shooting gloves, Macwet which are pretty good but don't last that long.
  23. Evening all, i'm new around here, hope all are well. Just a quick questions, are there any arb related shops in east anglia? i am after a few bits, boots mainly, about the only thing i don't fancy buying on line everything else is fine i'm just a bit fussy about comfort and fit with footwear. thanks (in advance) tom
