  1. I bought a wever floating d version of the harness before i set-up myself, as a kind of a weekend job harness. Cheap and lasts! my comet dragonfly didn't last half as long. like someone said 'carthorse' It lasts and lasts and last etc.
  2. Cheers again, great action shot too.
  3. Doh! if only id gone one more page..... That makes alot of sense, speeds things up. I like the idea of it and for the reasonable cost of a few slings and a plate i may test it out next time i need to lower stuff. Thanks for getting back to me.
  4. just refering to your pics on page 3. The large rigging plate with all the strops, do you strop multiple branches during the crown removal? 1st time i've seen pics of a rigging plate not used in a speedline way? could you shed any more light on how you use it? just interested.
  5. Tickets bought, fingers crossed.
  6. Hi, From being in the industry for a while now it seems everywhere i go someones doing something different with their lowering equipment/technique. So do you use a portawrap and one pulley block? Drum pulley? Hobbs? GRCS? Speedlines etc, and any little tricks you have learnt from 'on the job' style? Also why do you like the system you use? Simple, controling, cheap, quick to setup. Just curious on how you get on with your system + keen to learn a few new problem solving tricks that may occur.
  7. Do you have 2 sets of spikes? if so one with long gaffs and one with short. Try the longs first if you hate them no worries just haul up the other pair and change over. I used long gaffs on a Dawn readwood and there fine don't get clogged up as easily as short ones.
  8. I work for Target Trees, mainly on the wroxham side of norwich. You?

  9. Just ordered mine. What a price for a camera too great value.
  10. Also has anyone been using the spiderjack - Any good?
  11. Ok, im thinking of starting to use a lockjack, i was wondering what rope/ropes work best with it? Reason for this is i have been told the Eldrid power static rope is the best for this? I don't know as i've never used it? Any help on this would be muchos appreciated.
  12. Just a couple of diff jobs on a sunny day.
