    Euro 2016

You forgot whilst not wearing a top with a huge flag painted on your chest or face.
  3. Enjoying the sun working on the river clearing stagnant dyke.... 5 cleared for the dredging barge to get in and 3 tomorrow afternoon. Forgot how smelly Broads water is and how wet it is working off reed beds and hover. Mick slipped off the walking plank and went halfway up his shins and the arbaid box leaked somehow. Oh and I forgot how much water a chainsaw displaces when cutting into the river.
  4. So, I'll belt sand the redwood. Probably get a course doughnut for some rustic bits and bobs. Thanks for all the links everyone. I really appreciate it.
  5. You can see the pipe change by the bottom corner of the door.
  6. Yeah it has a coned joint just below the cab door. So it just lifts out, quite snug fitting but that's better than rattling around loose I guess. It's off a u1300 Atkinson Vos sorted the box and some of the pipe but we had to sort a bit of a custom job underneath with some new exhaust pipe sections.
  7. So that's the exhaust system fitted.
  8. Hahah you'd seriously consider posting a review on Amazon like the immac ones.
  9. I've got some redwood I milled for a table but wanted to remove the odd tooth grove before belt sanding. As well as finishing off some timber i convert into benches.
  10. Hi everyone, I've milled some timber down and wondered if these were any good?
  11. Al, I'd of thought you'd of been up their like a shot and let jb watch. My less technical day. 1 medium sized oak to deck. Josh Rooker did the climbing as I had to run the chip off site in a different truck.
  12. Hahah today might have looked organised but today but our time frame slipped by about 2hrs sadly. Yeah I got fed up quoting against people who can operate a lot cheaper. So focused on winning bigger works that would take them 2-3 days and get it done in half the time. Seems to me where I am the smaller trees are extremely competitive. So I'm regularly too expensive. So no point for me as my overheads are considerably higher.
  13. Tidy result on the hedge Andrew.
  14. I don't know, over my way you've got a lot of guys for £110-120 mark and the few hot shots at £160-£180. However I always notice the higher bracket guys are always chasing for days. I get why because for a little more wedge you can weigh up slamming a bigger job out in a day or a day and a morning and you've got some to go onto something else after. So the cheaper day cost becomes more of a business choice. We're starting to stop regular subby hire as to be honest I'd rather save their cost and give some of that saving to my lads as a wage increase. But that's me slightly digressing from the original post. And don't get me wrong I don't subby climb for less than £180.00 (hence why I rarely subby climb). Unless you work for me then I charge the same rate as they've charged me.
  15. Got asked to make this pine a loner. That and they've got to sort something out with the transformer.
  16. If he's not grabbed it by Friday I'll take it to the depot.
  17. Seems like shaun the carver forgot to grab the owl.
  18. Cheers for the reply. When the builder asks you why you became a tree surgeon you should reply. "Because builders need heroes too"
  19. Your being watched in the 3rd and 4th picture. Just a question. Why didn't you just fell it? I mean I've had it before when there worried about Tarmac damage. So it's been a dismantle.
  20. Showing Dave some setups with the imp this morning.
  21. And some other bits.
  22. Loaded these tonight for tomorrow as there being leased out for a bit as I need space in the depot.
  23. If your going to be the one felling the tree then call the council and just discuss the issue. If your not going to be the one doing the work don't bother. Not your problem.
  24. I did foolishly set a work site date but we missed that so i gave up on a date. I have had it out just to lift stems down but thats probably 4 occasions so far. Not 100% worried as it was bought outright for the risk of overrun alone. In hindsight its probably the better way to do it this way as i have time to think and ponder on how i want it done and i can do everything now hence why were replacing seals, all the air lines, hydralic lines and anything that looks like its got less than a year before it needs replacing. But all in its not hugely more expensive than an LGV on parts. A few bits are very expensive but hey ho its a specialist piece of kit.
  25. Exactly my first thought!!
