  1. When I bought mine the shop( Cotswolds) did a website comparison and matched the cheapest price found! Had it on the fire in the woods today, along with the frying pan
  2. Congratulations Paul! Best of luck with the new job!! Still up for that pint soon??? I've a feeling it could involve a few of us?! Jonny:001_smile:
  3. Oh Jesus, you did put that pic up.....
  4. I hope the trailer comes in handy?! As for the sausages.. I said they're the best around!! I'd just like to say thankyou for the last 2 days you spent working with us. For those that have not met Paul I don't think you could meet anyone with as much enthusiasm and drive! Worked his socks off and some great banter too! To think that a thread on Arbtalk has been viewed over 50,000 times says a lot about the effort this man has made. I would have Paul back working with me anyday. Good luck for the future mate! You're always welcome round these neck of the woods! P.s looking forward to that pint in Kew!
  5. Hi rob! Yes it's all coming down. It's still standing but coming down tomorrow. I might give it a crack with my Alaskan. What do you think?
  6. I was at Stihl in Camberley last week speaking to their technical people and they too said it takes about 20 tanks to get better. I'm speaking to one of them later this week, I'll ask if it's true ref the carb.

    On now

    Proper Grafting!
  8. CONGRATULATIONS PAUL! And was good to meet up the other day!
  9. I use a quad/arb trolley combo to help shift some of the bigger stuff.
  10. The 2006 demo saw they let me borrow doesn't seem to do it either! I did sugggest I keep that and they give me some serious discount on a new 201. Yet to hear back...
  11. I've not heard anything back from my dealer today which means that Stihl haven't got back to him! Does anyone else know of this problem happening with other Stihl saws? And is it only the newer versions ofthe 660 this is happening to? Cheers
  12. Nope not yet!! i'll be on the phone to them first thing Monday!
  13. At the moment my saw is in Germany undergoing tests..make of that what you will! I got a 2006 660 demo saw at the minute and I have to say its been faultless. I have suggested that I keep that saw BUT I want a very good deal on a new 201. I'm expecting an answer today but as its now 4pm I doubt that'll happen!
  14. A Dell Powerpack. Just like the new one ivv just had to buy! Not cheap!! Ps nice truck!
  15. Rubbish week topped off with said chipper having to be dismantled on site. Grrrr
  16. When the chippers next to the brash and the chutes not facing in the truck! Didn't even think of looking up to check!! A good few minutes before noticing! 😡
  17. Anyone else notice the pigeon fly out in the 3rd vid? (1m58)
  18. Well....surprise surprise the 660 is now back at the factory. Was ringing up a reasonable size Ash when the problems resurfaced. This time Stihl have given me a 2006 demo 660 (absolutely flies!) until they fix mine, which I reckon will be a while....
  19. Well after a few weeks of shovelling I bit the bullet and bought a new power pack from Del through a local company. Total cost £510(pack, delivery and fluid) just glad it's working ok again!! Now If only stihl would fix my 660.....
  20. Cheers Johny I'll try that again tomorrow. Still think it's shot though.
  21. I started a thread a while ago as my truck has been struggling to tip off chip. If you can get it started (2 blokes lifting whilst trying to tip) it's fine but apart from that it struggles now even with it not even being half full. Topped up the resevoir, there's no leaks. Spoke to someone at del Engineering and its going to cost £500 to get a new motor. Does anyone know of someone Nr Guildford that might be able to service the motor or help in any way? Cheers Jonny
  22. Finally!!! Got the Saw back from Stihl. All they said was that there was some fine dust in it causing problems. Both myself and my dealer had the saw cleaned and there's no way that was the fault IMO. Would it be wrong to think that there might be something more serious wrong and that Stihl are just replacing these parts and not telling the truth? Jonny:001_smile:
