  1. That's what I'm hoping Tom! Thanks mate
  2. Evening I've been asked to quote for a job thinning out 500+ trees inc stump grinding from a golf course. FC have been there today and as far as I'm aware it's going to happen. The job has to be done in a 4 week window!!. I've got 2 smaller projects on the go at the minute but this is well above anything I've ever taken on, but.. I'm not the kind of person to wonder "what if" and want to ( if price accepted) take it on! I would love to speak to someone/people who can help me with something on this scale. Many Thanks Jonny P.s you can all stop laughing now:001_tongue:
  3. Haha it's not broken! Just being temperamental! Did you have probs with the tipper in the past then...
  4. Cheers lads I know what I'll be doing tomorrow... 😊
  5. Hi My truck has started to not want to tip when it's got more than half a load of chip in it. I know nothing about what to do! Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers All
  6. One day I'll get my ideal set up! Until then...
  7. It's not only on the big stuff It's even when I've been using it with a small bar and my Log-Loc.
  8. If Stihl can't fix it Steve d'you fancy a crack at it?? P.s Let me know when you can have a play with the 242 Cheers
  9. You're right about giving it a good smack! It's just annoying when you go to roll your wrist forward to put it on and nothing happens!
  10. Hi Rob When the saws cold the brake works as it should and you get a loud "click" when putting brake on or off. After a few minutes use( for me either a 20" bar or 36") if you were to try and put the brake on as normal nothing happens. It feels like the handle is made of jelly and is really soft. Almost feels like it might snap off! Flippin pesky saw!! Haha
  11. Reference getting a big husky I am seriously tempted. Recently got a 242xp and apart from a few small issues from the fact it's been sat around doing nothing for a few years it's great! Also thinking about a 560 to replace my 361. Maybe it's the way forward?!
  12. The dealer tried a new handle but same problem. It's getting hot at the base and stops the brake from working. It's got a nice loud click when cold but doesn't work at all when warm! 😞
  13. I Just hope It comes back soon! Preferably working!!
  14. I was using my saw the other day ringing up a horse chestnut (36"Bar) Chain brake worked fine whilst saw still reasonably cold but once hot the plastic became quite pliable. Sent saw back to dealer and It's been recalled for further tests. It's the first case my dealer's heard of. Has anyone else had this problem? Saw was bought In Dec 2011
  15. Can you change me too please? Jonny Burch Ta Steve
  16. I'm driving past it tomorrow, I'll get some measurements and more pics. Price wise I'm open to offers. Jonny
  17. Hi Got this Yew to take down in Guildford soon. It's going to end up on my firewood pile unless anyone has another use for it? Cheers Jonny:001_smile:
  18. Just Bought Both! Great Stuff!
  19. Boooom!! hahahah
  20. The clock on my camera is an hour behind.. There's 20 bags in the back left of pic, the fire was put out about a metre away from them catching! Phew! The fire started again on weds and thurs too. All out yesterday.
  21. The military side off it is over the other side of the road so thankfully all safe there. Left site at about 4ish and the brigade said the fire was more or less out. But reading the link just posted it looks like it might have started up again?

    Fire!

Had a bit of a scare today! Saw a huge plume of smoke coming from where I store my logs. Turn up to see That there's been a common fire and that it missed my log pile by a few metres. Worst thing is the fire ripped through most of the surrounding area. Fire brigade have put fire out but I'm not allowed to check out the rest of the damage today. I'll post pics later this week. Very cool mog the brigade have though!!
  23. I'm after one of these for my truck. Has anyone got one on theirs? If so where can I get one and are they easy to fit? Cheers, Jonny
  24. That just trumped my 47!
