  4. What about a get together at my Place some time soon, invite one or two other arborists and families to climb and chat and generally kick tires and chatter.
  5. Ah mate, its just not in the same league as a Sthil, I used an echo for awhile and it was plain Crap. is a McAlister relay the way forward???? forget the price, in a tree put your faith in something that works.
  6. Well when I worked in retail we apprehended a shoplifter who just happened to be an OAP. We insisted that the police arrest and prosecute, which was the companies policy. Desk sergeant rang about 20 minutes after the offender had been taken in to tell us it was not in the public interest to press charges, to which I replied that when I retire I'm going to launch my own one man crime wave as it would not be in the interests of the public to prosecute me. An awkward silence from his end of the phone just about summed it up!!!
  7. Famous people you have worked for ???? Just did a bit of tree work for Guy Denning, top bloke, loads of cups of tea and a kick ass music collection and loved his work.www.guydenning.org and in a previous life HRH Princess Anne was a customer.
  8. Nice vid, and I learned a little something new, which has not cost me money. Always a good thing.
  9. Need more work at your rates Ty. Like the new web site set up mate.
  10. Just heard I have won a prize, trouble is never used the said piece of kit before. So having looked up said piece of kit in action I thought why not give it a try. So now shelled out on the Hitch Climber Pulley. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ydt-hUT6aGE]YouTube - Hitch Climber Set-Up[/ame] was the link I viewed, interested the experiences/ benefits of those of you who use this system. At present I'm a classic prussic loop kind of a guy.
  11. No real debit, but selling up in England and moving to France makes it very difficult to move back if I had to buy there now I would be in trouble. currently owed about 2 grand on outstanding works, and the chipper seems to chipping my wallet faster than the brash.
  12. Stuart

Have been doing some work for a guy up near St Malo, which although a good payer is a long drive for me.

Having completed the latest batch for November, I think I have had enough of 2 hours driving either side of a hard day in the trees.

Was going to pass on your number when I tell him thanks but no thanks to more work.

    You ok with that.???

left a message on you answer phone also so give us ring and I will give you the details.

    Regards

  13. Where??? would love the link. Make me feel better even though I have already parted with too much cash.
  14. Bugger spent most of yesterday chasing down a new relay like the one too the right in your photo, quoted 25 quid plus vat plus postage. Such is life
  15. Ah so true, France does just what it says on the tin:001_tt2:
  16. Thanks for that. have tried to find the part but seem to draw a blank:blushing: Tried typing in the reference number off the part with so far no success.
  17. Well at this point I thinks its the relay behind the Green go button, opened it up and changed it out for the reverse relay. Disconnected both and plugged the go button into the reverse button Rollers worked. Now where to source the relay, spent the afternoon trying local avenues without success and Timberwolf though very helpful would like me to use the French agent. Experience has taught me that in all likelihood that this will be a complete waste of time esp as it a major bank holiday here this weekend. Who would you ring for this part in the UK???
  18. Thanks for the reply's, they will give me a starter for ten.
  19. Working away yesterday when the Feed rollers stopped working on the feed only, reverse was working just fine. Now the hydrollic level was down:blushing:, now topped back up and problem persists. Any ideas??? Cheers

  24. Interesting, tried an Echo top handled saw for awhile and it was very short lived, just wore out and was generaly poop. Have used a stihl combie strimmer/brash cutter/headge trimmer for ages and its still going strong. Maybe Echo have upped their game since I last tried um.
