  1. This was advertised Jan last year:001_rolleyes:
  2. I'm soooo glad i only do briquettes on a small scale and stay with local stockists. Loads and loads of the big setups calling in to every potential stockist around here with very little luck from what i can gather as they all love the idea of the "local" thing. I dread to think what stock some of these big concerns must be holding after this mild winter. I dont think this will be the last of this sort of Ad put up for "Briquettes" and "cheap" somewhere in the pitch. As we speak I'm completely out of stock but will be running the old girl all day tommorow to put a few in stock. Thanks Phil
  3. I wonder if the batch that wouldn't be ready until end of march has been pulled early with higher than norn m/c
  4. Theres very few customers asking about price now:biggrin:
  5. Your a legend Jon and you make me chuckle mate:thumbup:keep up the good work. I would have thought £45 +vat delivered is a pretty good price. Thanks Phil
  6. I'm confused.com:lol: Right now where's the cider:thumbup:
  7. Fair play I cant make head nor tail of this sentence:confused1:
  8. I cant believe an experienced log merchant would ask if its £400 for a 26t load of cord:lol: I really am going to hit the cider now!! this will all make sense then:lol: If that is the case i'll buy all he's got:thumbup:
  9. I think the £400 is for delivery not the load of cord:lol:
  10. Quality:lol: I like your humour:thumbup: Alot Thanks Phil in mild worcestershire
  11. It's the middle of Jan and your on about dropping prices:confused1: There's a good while to go yet to have some nice winter weather. A fortnight of cold weather will have logs flying out of yards. My prices will only go 1 way, UP. I've had 3 new customers phone today the price wasn't an issue as they were all recommendations and they've had shite off the "have a go harrys" so learnt the hard way. Thanks Phil
  12. Been steady 8 loads this week so far, 2 booked in for tommorow and 1 on friday, plus a nice little order of briquettes went out Tues. Orders coming in for next week already must be cold weather en-route. Not seeing half as many "have a go harrys" about now, A good cold snap will sort things and thats when my price rise comes into effect:sneaky2: Thanks Phil
  13. I've just managed to get some free pallets to stack bulk bags of logs on for next season totally non standard size but all as new, at a guess i would say 750mm square, i'll try to find out what sort of quantity is normally held or get the guys phone number if your interested. Thanks Phil
  14. Hi Jon did you buy the splitter new? if so have you ever had any problems to speak of?? I know these machines have a good reputation for being well built and reliable is this so?? I've been thinking of buying a "9t splitmaster" petrol engine version or is there something out there better/similar/cheaper.
  15. I dont think he's looking for a pto splitter Jon:lol:
  16. Now theres a thought......... Nah, he probably gets lost just outside his village:001_tt2: Plus it would take hell of a while to travel that far on a donkey because surely he aint passed his driving test:lol:(Joke...for those with zero sense of humour) All the best,
  17. Now i'm really, really, really confused:confused1: I aint even going to try and explain myself on this one(the water down your way has to be distilled then:lol:) I give up, end of!!! I'm really off to have some cider(feck I need it now)
  18. Just a friendly bit of advice Jon be carefull your not over the drink/drive limit the following morning being on the cider, you never know till it's too late, espiecally this time of year. I got knocked off my M/bike years ago bloke was 2 times over following morning. All the best Phil
  19. Bugger.........another 7 loads ordered today:001_rolleyes: Be processing straight off cord stack into my trailers in new year.
  20. Yeap, Its going to be 2 logs per net though:lol: what size nets/logs are you quoting on?? This is the old classic that so many firewood guys deal with day in day out. Old Freds load of logs are cheaper than yours so i'm buying off him. But his load is half the size of my load!! If your talking sort of 10+ dry logs of 8"-10" in length per net that price is silly buy all you can, and pass the suppliers number on to me please. Welcome to the forum by the way
  21. I'll second that:lol: I'd love £50sq/m, Jon theres nothing about that sort of return on logs mate:flute:
  22. I wont complain about a mild week one little bit. Its been mental the last 2 weeks and a nice wind down now for crimbo would be nice, 5 loads already booked in but whats the betting I still get the phone call Saturday(24th Dec) afternoon about 3-3.30pm when i'm about to have early finish and venture into the local. The call will go as follows "Hi Phil, is there any chance of some logs today as we're almost out"
  23. Dont know if you read that later part of the thread Jon(Mendiplogs)??
  24. Premium logs:confused1::lol: sorry couldn't resist that one.
  25. I put about £1000 worth crushed concrete/brick around my yard and never looked back. Thanks Phil ps. fair play that looks a mess.
